Harry's POV
I glance over at the clock on the table at the end of my hospital bed. 10:48 a.m. the bright green digital numbers read. The doctor finished the small tests and I'm ready to go home, I'm just waiting for them to come back with a couple papers that I need to give to my mum when I get home.
"Here you are, take care." A nurse hands me the papers and pats my shoulder with a smile.
I stand up from my bed and walk out the door, papers in hand. On the way home, I can't help but notice a male brunette pacing back and forth across the sidewalk.
"Hey, are you al-"
"Have you seen her?!" He rushes, looking desperate for an answer.
"Who?"
"Jamie."
My heart sinks immediately, "Does she have an American accent, brown eyes and hair? About this tall?"
"Yes! Do you know her?!"
"As a matter of fact I do." My vision starts to get cloudy, tears threatening to spill over my eyelids. I won't let them free. I can't show weakness in front of a stranger.
"Whoa whoa, you must really know her mate." He puts an arm around me and gestures me down to sit on the curb. He must have seen me struggle to keep them back.
"Know her is an understatement." I sigh.
"Is she a relative?" He folds his hands and looks me in the eyes, even though I am staring at the blacktop road.
"No, she's my best friend." I run my hands through my hair. "And I kind of fancy her as well."
"Ouch, that's gotta hurt mate."
"Why? What happened? Is she okay?" I ask, my gaze turns to his big brown orbs.
"Well," He scratches the back of his neck. "Your mum and my mum are colleagues. Your mum actually talks about Jamie a lot because she seems really sweet. Anyway, my mum told me about her because she thinks that I might fancy her. But today, my mum screamed when she got inside my house so I ran over to her and she showed me a note. I actually have it in my pocket."
He pulls out a small yellow tainted piece of crumpled paper and hands it to me.
'We have Jamie. She is exactly who we need for our...job. If you want to rescue her, she is at an abandoned jail with us. But getting through us isn't easy. -The W.A.G. (Woman Abuse Gang)'
When I finish reading the letter, my hands are furiously shaking. I crumple up the paper into a ball and throw it across the street.
"What am I going to do?! There's no way I can get her safe." I hold my face in my hands. My cheeks tingling with heat from my frustrating anger.
"I can help you, I'll call a couple of my mates and you call some of yours and we'll save her together. Like a big team."
I look up from my hands and to him, "thanks mate, what's your name?"
"Liam," He holds out a hand for me to shake. "And you are?"
"Harry." I take his hand and shake it.
Jamie's POV
*~*~*At An Unknown Building*~*~*
The large rusty metal door opens abruptly, Niall quickly stands up and leans against the wall far enough away from me so my chains restraining my body from moving won't get near him. I sit against the wall and rest my forehead on my knees with my legs hugged up to my chest. It is pretty risky to fake this but Niall said he wouldn't hurt me and doesn't want me to suffer. It's nice to know that there's at least one guy out there who doesn't abuse women just because they have an advantage.
"Niall! I need information." The leader shouted as Niall diverted his attention to him and told the leader that I 'suffered'.
"Good." He pats Niall's shoulder and starts to whisper in his ear, looking at me every now and then. When he finished whispering, Niall looked at me with a large twist of emotions as if he just told him some sort of messed up scenario out of nowhere. The leader then leaves the room to just leave Niall and I alone once again. Niall slumps down the wall and holds his face in his hands. Barely audible sniffles were heard throughout the room. Since the room is so silent and empty, every little sound that you make echoes.
"Niall," I cooed, trying to crawl over to him but the chains only let me go so far. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," He sniffles lightly as he takes his head out of his hands. "I'm fine."
I give him a long hard stare in the eyes because I know that something is obviously wrong if he is crying. If a boy cries, he is truly hurting. I don't want Niall to hide anything from me; I am aware that we just met, but I would still push everything to the side to help him.
"Niall, I know you're not okay. If you tell me, you might actually feel better. I'm gonna be here for a while so I may as well help someone out other than myself for escaping this hell hole." I shrug as I try to subtly lighten the mood. With that, he crawls over to me and sits next to me.
"You know...ugh, I don't know how to word this. W-well, my uncle, th-the leader, wants t-t-to kill y-you." He breaks down as tears stream down his face, burying his head into my lap.
