Dear Yoongi,

There's a certain event in my college days that I won't really forget. It was when I was introduced to night life.

I'm a Christian so I hesitated to join my classmates way back then. I swore to myself that I'll never do those activities just to satisfy my earthly desires.

When I got home, I was abruptly stopped on the doorway as I saw my father beating my mother.

That wasn't the first time, but my mother was ill. My younger sister and brother were at the corner, crying. I bit my lower lip and tried to stop my father like what I used to do. I didn't know what happened, but the situation became calm. I grabbed my mom in my room and hugged her.

I asked her, "mom, why can't we just leave dad?" and she just smiled at me, "i love your dad."

It was bullshit. How can love be love when you start to lose yourself in the process?

So, I gave up convincing my mom. And besides, we actually need our father. He wasn't a bad father, but I guess he never really loved my mom.

On that day, I promised to myself that I'm going to marry a man who loves me more than I love him and a man who would never lay a finger on me.

But sometimes, God has set other plans for you.
