Kokonoe: The story of Jiren is actually different in both the anime and manga. But no matter which one you looked at, both result in Jiren's master dying and Jiren himself joining the Pride Troopers.
Junko: Seeking strength on his own, Jiren suddenly became so powerful he grew bald and started one punching everyone!
Kokonoe: That's not how it worked but he definitely made his name known as the strongest mortal alive.
Junko: And he definitely lived up to it in his own sort of way. I mean, this guy's mere power alone rivals and probably even surpasses that of Goku. The mere shockwave of his punch was enough to one shot Maji-Kayo, the weird stretchy blue alien.
Kokonoe: Now how about we get to Jiren's moveset. Like almost all Dragon Ball characters, Jiren can fly. Though combined with his speed, he can make almost any spaceship useless for traveling from one planet to another.
Junko: Jiren can also increase his combat abilities by focusing on his ki.

Kokonoe: Much like chakra from Naruto, ki is a form of spiritual energy found in all living things. And Jiren's control over it is remarkably high, able to summon tremendous amounts instantly and with no visible effort.
Junko: He can use his ki to do things like shoot ki blasts.
