SALAAR's POV

"Why did you marry me Salaar?"

This was the last thing i was expecting for her to ask.
Why did i marry her? She wanted to know why did i marry her, do i even know the answer to this question, do i even want to find out, i don't think so.

"What makes you ask this question?"

"First you answer my question then i will answer your's."

"I don't know Izah. What do you want me to say?"

"Did you have someone in your life? I mean i know baba forced you to marry me and it is possible that you had someone in your life whom you wanted to marry but you had to leave them because of me. I just want you to know if there is someone i don't have any problem..." she kept on talking and once again i wasn't expecting what she said.

"Wow! In this past one month you have spoken less to me than you have in this one sentence."

"I am serious Salaar."
She stood up from the bed and came towards the couch.

"What is it exactly that you want to know? Huh? And what did you say, that if there is someone than you don't have any problem? You are so great Izah!"
I also stood up from my place and went towards her. She kept looking at me.

"Listen Izah, i don't know where all of this came in your mind but let me make this clear to you. Yes when baba asked me to marry you i straight away refused because of obvious reasons. This decision was very tough for both of us, but in the end both of us gave up and agreed to this. So now no matter what neither you nor me can deny the relationship that we now have. Whether we like it or not, whether we accept it wholeheartedly or not, the reality is that i am your husband and you are my wife.
If we have to live together so atleast we should be able to talk to each other, like i told you the very first day you can talk to me about anything. Don't ever think that you have invaded my life and stuff like that please."
This conversation was really taking
unexpected turns.

She continued to look at me like she was searching for something to say.

"So i can talk to you about anything?"
She asked with such innocence in her eyes, that i couldn't resist smiling.

"Yes you can! The least we can do is become friends right? Let's give it a try, shall we? "

She nodded and i smiled at her and then i turned to the table and was about to pick my laptop when i stopped and looked at her again, she too was looking at me like she was trying to figure out what i was about to say.

"By the way just for the record, i didn't have anyone in my life. And you said that you wouldn't have a problem even if there is someone, then on the contrary i think that if what you said were to be true, then it is your right to have a problem with that, infact i would like you to have a problem with that."

Even i don't know what i meant by that, but i can swear on my life that i caught a smile on her lips while she was turning to go.

"Good night Salaar."
That was all she had replied.
