The golden hue of the mysterious sun transcended into dull shades of black and gray, as thick cumulonimbus clouds covered the afternoon sky. The thunder began to rumble with fury as the storm intensified, causing locals to scatter the area.

Marinette looked up at the promising sky as she patiently waited for the first drops of rain to splash along her exposed skin.

Adrien stole a single glance at his quirky classmate before turning his attention to the dull sky up above. Seeing how quickly the storm was developing, he couldn't help but feel a little anxious.

Any minute now, the heavens would burst open and they would be drenched in polluted water. They had nowhere to go, and no one to contact. He needed a plan, and fast!

"Marinette..? I think we should look for some shelter..."

The blue-eyed girl looked at her friend with concern, "I think that's a good idea. But where-"

Adrien couldn't answer her question, because he honestly had no idea.

He gave her an unsure look before turning away, "I'm not sure, but we have to find somewhere to go. I know that our previous experience was honestly terrible," he fiddled with a few few strainds of his blond hair; remembering how he was harshly ridiculed in front of everyone. "But we can't stay here."

Marinette nodded her head in agreement. She was nervous, but that didn't matter. Adrien was with her, and she trusted him. She gave him a kind smile as she looked into his forest green eyes. He was tense, and his eyes seemed to conceal fear. She was about to question him, but stopped herself when he broke eye contact.

"... You're right. Any suggestions?"

"I was thinking... Maybe we should look for a nearby hotel or something..." He anxiously rubbed the back of his neck as he attempted to meet her eyes.

He felt really awkward suggesting that, because he was afraid that she would get the wrong impression. But to his surprise, she seemed relieved.

"That's probably the best option. Do you perhaps know the way?"

He sadly shook his head, "Uhm... I'm afraid I don't know..."

Marinette, sensing her friend's sudden disappointment, gave him a sympathetic look. He was always so kind and considerate towards her, which made her question her feelings for a split second.

She hadn't realized it before, but Adrien had always been there for her. Because she was so focused on her 'Luka obsession', she rarely thought about Adrien; especially in that way.

She was confused, because Luka was the one who had stolen her heart and made her feel butterflies in her stomach. When she looked at the blue-eyed guitarist, she couldn't think straight, and she always stuttered. He was just so understanding, and seemed to always know how to make her feel better.

But he was still inlove with Chloé... He would never see her as more than a good friend, and that was difficult to accept. Her heart ached when she thought about it; knowing that her failed attempts were all in vain.
Or were they..?

And speaking of Luka, she wondered what he was currently up to. Did he think about her, or miss her? She honestly didn't know, but she really hoped he did...

And then there was Adrien... The boy who hated her in the very beginning because he thought she was a crazy fangirl who only liked him because of his fame and fortune. But he soon realized that that was definitely not true. She wanted to be his friend because she truly cared about him.
