I stared at him as if he's been the guy I've been avoiding for the past ten years. Heck, it was more than ten years- I couldn't even count it.

"I mean, I've seen you in the news for a lot of times..." He pursed his lips and shifted his gaze to everywhere. I fiddled with my finger and begin to look at the ceiling.

"uh, yeah..." I also did purse my lips. I begin to look at him as he scratched the back of his neck. He became so tall, his face looked so mature as the features started to appear his 'used-to-be-a-duck' look. I must say, he looked good. "It was mostly getting drunk..." damnit you don't have to say that Corbyn.

"Oh yeah, I thought I'm the one who'll get the snacks" he suddenly changed the topic, he must've noticed my uncomfortable. Ah fuck, how could I be stupid? I didn't even realize that he'll be coming over with them. I mentally facepalmed and let out a disappointed expression. "I can't come, you knew Jonah came home, right? My dad threw a welcoming party for him- but I ended up being the drunk one."

He blinked.

"That means, I'm still recovering from the hangover." His eyes once again blink in confusion. I look at him with a 'are you fucking with me right now?'

"Oh-oh! Right right. But, it would be fun if you would come, I was actually genuinely wanted to see you. Because Tatum just called that you'd be there." he put his hands inside his pockets. I raised my brows.

Does he know that he's talking with his bully in second grade in front of him? He probably not. "What do you mean 'you wanted to see me?' Corbyn, I am your bully in second grade. Why would you want to see this person?" I indicated myself. He flinched at my words and looked at me.

"Because I thought you were alone and you wanted to bully me because you hate everybody."

Hate everyone? Yes, that's actually true. But that's not the reason why I bully him, he actually doesn't know, does he? No, I don't have any feelings for him. "Corbyn, I'm not lonely in second grade. And yes I hate everybody but that's not the point."

"Then if it's not, then come with us!" he tried to convince me and change my mind but that's not gonna happen. I already told Jonah that I can't because I knew he doesn't want my company anymore. I don't want him to be disappointed, I love Jonah and if it means getting myself out of his sight, I'll do it. Stupid right? Well, we do crazy stuff for the people we love. We just don't know it because we're blinded.

"Listen here, Duck. If I said no, I meant 'No,' ya got that? Just don't push me if I don't want to go to the beach. My mind has made up, I'll never go." I walked towards him, he backed up and nodded vigorously. "Good, then that settles it. Don't tell them that you saw me."

"I-I won't..."

I pursed my lips and looked at him, I felt so sorry for harassing him when we were kids. But heck, since I'm an egoistic person I would never admit that I lost. "If you want to come, the invite is still open." he dragged his cart and looked at me sadly. I nodded, "It was nice seeing you, Y/n."

Who would've thought that I'll see Corbyn in out of places it will be 'Walmart'. My phone started to 'Ring', I looked at the I.D. and sighed. I pushed the cart towards the cashier and answered the call; "Yeah?"

"Honey, where are you?" Dad's voice said. I rolled my eyes. "At Walmart, why?"
"Do you mind taking, Elizabeth out for a ride?" My heart dropped. One name, just one name and I couldn't even stand it. Of course, how dumb could I be? Out of all people, he chose me to be her goddamn driver. I felt my body tensed up from his request, I grew silent as my face turned into a deep scowl.
