"Hey

"Hey."

A deep voice echoed throughout the room. When the voice's owner didn't receive the reaction he wanted, he repeated—this time, with the company of his foot kicking the sofa.

"Hey, servant. Wake up."

Zhan stirred in his sleep, trying to block the noise away from penetrating his eardrums. It took him quite a while last night to adjust and fell asleep in this constricted area, yet he is now being woken up by none other than the person who has caused his misery in the first place.

"What?" replied Zhan with a hoarse voice, and eyes closed.

Zhan didn't want to answer at first, but judging from the relentless kick, he knew ignoring wouldn't be practical.

"I'm hungry."

Seriously?! This guy! Just because he saved me, he thinks he has the authority to boss me around. Wait, did he even save me at all?

Zhan complained at the back of his head, but he didn't speak out his mind.

"Go find yourself something to eat in the fridge," said Zhan groggily as he waved his hand to dismiss the one bothering him.

"What's a fridge?"

The question made a deep yet inaudible long growl to escape from Zhan's lips. Knowing it'd make him naturally wide awake after he finished all the explanation anyway, Zhan decided to give up on his beauty sleep.

"Please sit tight and await your meal, King of Elf. This servant will go and make something for you."

He glared at the tall figure in front of him as he sat up.

Yibo couldn't sense the sarcasm hidden behind Zhan's word, for no one had dared to talk to him this way before, so he sat down and smirked proudly.

"It's good that you know your place."

Zhan rolled his eyes and headed to freshening himself up real quick in the bathroom. After freshening up, he went to open the fridge and looked for something light to cook. Though the fridge was small, the Inside looked spacious. There weren't lots of food stored.

Luckily, there were a big bowl of leftover rice from the other night, two eggs, and a bag of frozen mixed vegetables from the freezer. The ingredients drove Zhan to cook fried rice for breakfast.

A pan was only put on the stove and began to heat up when a deep voice reverberated from the other side of the room.

"Hey, is it done yet? I'm hungry."

Zhan closed his eyes and took a deep breath, refraining from using the spatula he held to commit a murder.

"It'll be done soon, your highness majesty," shouted Zhan once he finally calmed down and opened back his eyes to start cooking.
