Chapter 29: The Decision

As Catra and I walked back to Bright Moon I realized why Glimmer had been so weird in the hallway. It was because of..

Yeah don't even go there brain I swear.

I mentally slapped myself for reminding me about Glimmer and Bow. What were the even doing? They're friends.. it didn't seem like more when we met. But it would explain why they knew so much about dating and stuff. Maybe they were.

Catra nudged me and asked, "What are you thinking about now?" I laughed saying, "It's nothing you want to know about." Catra smirked at me saying, "Oooh. That type of.. stuff." She looked at me seductively as I couldn't help but laugh at her.

"It's just Glimmer and Bow. Am I supposed to understand what that was in her room." Catra stopped and put her hand on my shoulder.

"Well you see Adora, when a girl and a boy love each other.." "Ugh!" I smacked her hand off my shoulder and walked in front of her.

"Cmon Adora, someone's gonna have to tell you" Catra laughed from behind me. I scoffed at her and waved my hand.

Catra slowly caught up with me as we reached the doors of Bright Moon. I saw Glimmer and Bow as Catra approached them.

"Hey Glimmer. Do anything.. fun?" Catra said as she struck a pose in front of them as I face palmed. "Catra. Shut. Up." I grabbed Catra's arm and dragged her out of the room as she started to roll on the floor with laughter. "Oh my god Glimmers face!" She was tearing up on the floor. I couldn't help but crack a smile at her amusement.

"Okay. Okay. But shh. It was embarrassing for us. Stop." I laughed at her. She got up and wiped her eyes and nodded and put a smile on her face. "Adora?" Glimmer called for me. Catra smiles but I put my finger in her face as she took a somewhat serious face again.

"We need to decide what to do with Scorpia and the others today. They are all healed up and able to move on their own again." Catra leaned in towards me and whispered, "I'm wondering how she's able to stand on her own." Catra snickered as she leaned away and looked back at Glimmer.

I tried my best to hide my smile that was spreading rapidly on my face. "We'll get on that. Were good right now." Glimmer gave us a weird look as she walked away weirdly on one leg.

I walked over to Catra and punched her shoulder. "Ow! What!" Catra said. "Don't. Do that." Catra smiled. "Do what?" I rubbed my head. "Just shut it. Lets go talk to the others." Catra laughed as she walked next to me.

We walked into the room we had gone in just a few days ago and saw Kyle, Rogelio and Lonnie all standing being checked again.

"So today would be the day huh?" Lonnie said. Catra stepped forward and nodded. "Yes, we need you guys to prove yourselves. In order to do that we have to let you out."

All three of them nodded as they stepped next to each other. 

"Today would be the day that you are let out so you can interact around the castle." I said. The three nodded as Kyles stepped forward to speak. He opened his mouth but stopped himself to see if anyone was going to stop him from speaking.

When he realized that he could speak freely he said, "And Scorpia?" Catra and I looked at each other. Catra stepped towards him and put a hand on his shoulder. "We'll go talk to her. To see if she's feeling okay. And if she's the way she was the last time we spoke."

I nodded as we showed them around the castle. We showed them our rooms and Glimmer and Bows room.

God. Glimmer and Bow. No don't do it Adora. Not again nope la la la.

Catra pulled me down the hall and unknowingly out of my thoughts. We should the three the kitchen and the new foods we liked. We had them try some and it felt like it did back when we were all together, but this time more happy.

After we had eaten we shower them the town near Bright Moon. Everyone welcomed them even while knowing they were from the Horde.

The other three were laughing hysterically and getting to know everyone.

They were really themselves for once. We all were and it felt good.

Once it had gotten a little dark we were asked to go check on Scorpia to see if she could prove herself as well. Catra decided to speak to her alone. It had been a few minutes so we all went into my room. Everyone sat down as we just began to talk.

"So Kyle, you and Rogelio finally are together then huh?" I asked him as he looked up embarrassed. Rogelio scooted away from Kyle with a crimson shade infecting his face. Kyle looked up and smiled at me. 

"Maybe. But you and Catra definitely did. Its about time. We were making bets on how long-" "Kyle!" Lonnie ran to Kyle and put her hand on his mouth and smiled at me. I narrowed my eyes at them. "When did you decide this bet?" I asked as I got up.

"Well it was around the time you had left and Catra told us that you might have been captured. I figured you guys would go after one another and fight, trying to prove that the other was wrong and that you were right until one of you ended up really hurting each other and becoming enemies in a way."

I looked at Lonnie. We all burst out laughing. "Pff, Catra and I enemies? I don't think that could ever happen." I said smiling at her. "Well when did you two actually.. you know?" Lonnie asked as she walked closer to me.

"Have you kissed? Been on a date? Had s-" "Guys." Catra said from behind us. I smiled innocently at her but she didn't buy it. "We have to make her feel welcome, but I think Scorpia is okay here." Catra opened the door wider and revealed Scorpia standing with her.

For the rest of the night we stayed in my room. Catra seemed off. I would talk to her about it later. Little had I known, that talk was about something far worse then Catra and I's abuse. It was worse than Catra could have imagined.
