If you cast a glance at Lyra Malfoy, all you would see was light. Her skin was pale, almost as white as the snow as she shut herself in her home for days on end. Her smile showed pearly white teeth that would almost blind you. Her hair was the color of gold, glittering as it framed her heart-shaped face.

If you got to know Lyra Malfoy, all you would see was darkness. You would see sadness, her longing for a time long since passed. You would see anger, whether it was at herself, her family or the world. You would see self-hatred, for how she had hurt those she loved. But most of all, you would see pain. 

There was only one happiness left in her life, one she had sworn to protect with her life. That was her son, Draco. For him, she was prepared to anything. Considering the way things are going, she might have to.
