Brooklyn sat at Chi's bedside as she stroked his hair.
"You okay?" She asked.
The boy yawned as he nodded. "Can we go home now?"
Brooklyn smiled lightly. "After the doctor says it's okay"
He shook his head. "When can I see Jihyo?"
Brooklyn bit her bottom lip. "Only her parents are allowed to see her but I'll keep asking"
Chi was about to speak as both him and his mother turned to the person entering the door.
"Kai?" They both called in different tones.
Brooklyn got up quickily wrapping her arms around him as he did the same.
"Got on a flight as soon as I heard" he whispered into her neck.
Brooklyn got emotional. "I've missed you"
They pulled out as he pecked her lips. "I'll tell you all about it when we get home"
Kai smiled at her as he walked over to Chi.
"Hey there big guy " they fist bumped.
Chi's grin was so wide. "You said you'd be back Monday"
"Yeah but after i spoke with your mother last night I couldn't wait to make sure you were okay"
Chi chuckled. "I'm okay " he showed his cast.
Kai looked at him surprised. "Is it broken?"
"Fractured" the boy giggled.
Kai pouted. "You need to be more careful"
Brooklyn stood to the side as she watched them interact.
Kai was really good with Chi, maybe he was the one.
The smile on her face was filled of so much fondness, she was happy.
"Sorry I'm late" Taehyung walked in with a box of donuts and his clothes from last night.
Her mood instantly changed.
Brooklyn cringed as she eyed him. "I wasn't expecting you?"
Taehyung smiled. "Well I'm here"
He turned to Chi as his eyes went to the man that sat beside him.
"And who's this?" He asked pointing to Kai while looking at Brooklyn.
She stuttered. "Uh Kai" she pointed. "Kai, Taehyung, Taehyung Kai" she smiled lightly.
Chi pursed his lips."my dad" he whispered.
Kai looked at Chi and then Brooklyn. "You told him"
The girl rubbed the back of her neck. "Yeah last night"
Taehyung scoffed. "This guy knew but I didn't"
