After Jiro had been dropped off (and the trio had gotten to their own destination), Bakugo sat in his hotel room alone, tapping into the microphones at his home. Izuku and Todoroki had tried to convince him to come and relax instead of checking, but the blonde just couldn't.

Katsuki turned up the volume and hugged a pillow from home. He took a deep breath and pressed play on the bedroom feed. He watched the line stay steady on the screen, which meant no sound was being made. He began to skip around until he reached a point where it picked up something.

The time that the mic picked up something was about two in the afternoon.

Not too long ago. Bakugo thought. It's only just turning four.

He pushed play once again, and he heard his front door open, Kirishima's faint laughter, and two sets of footsteps. No, three.

The door shut, and the footsteps approached their room. He heard mumbling, but he couldn't make anything out. The door opened and finally he could hear what they were saying.

"We should totally watch Beauty and the Beast!"

Was that fucking Toga? In his fucking house?

"No, dude, we're watching Malon. She's so manly!" Ei… Katsuki dropped the pillow, his lips beginning to quiver.

"No, we should watch Bolt!" Someone exclaimed. No, not someone. Denki fucking Kaminari.

Katsuki paused the audio, staring at the computer screen for a moment. He slammed it shut and stood. He went to the bathroom, and quickly splashed his face, taking a few deep breaths. He was hoping it was a lie, that Kirishima wasn't working with Denki and the villians again.

Katsuki banged his fist against the counter, letting the tears fill his vision.

"I trusted you," Katsuki mumbled, his hands starting to shake. He looked in the mirror, his lips curling into a growl.

"You trusted him," Katsuki scolded himself. "You fucking trusted him!" He screamed and threw his fist at the mirror. Sparks and glass flew. He kept staring at the shattered and broken mirror, his chest heaving.

"I'm an idiot," Katsuki laughed, moving his hands to his hair. "I let myself believe that he was good. I trusted him, I opened up to him, I-I-" He paused. "No. This is...he….he tricked me, didn't he?"

No response came, not that he had expected one. He moved his hands out of his hair, and stared at them.

"Man up." Katsuki told himself. "You're a hero, you've learned another hero has broken Toga out of prison. What do you do?."

Silence.

"You tell your partners and start to form a plan to take the traitor out." Katsuki spoke. He nodded to himself, before deciding he needed to clean up and find Izuku.

-

Kirishima was calling Bakugou for the fifth time within the hour, pacing around his bathroom. Why hadn't he answered? Was he hurt? He was so lost in thought he hadn't realized Bakugo finally answered.

"Kirishima?"

Kirishima perked up, feeling himself smile, "Kat! You finally answered!"

"Yeah, I uh," there was a pause. "I was starting to look into the case were working on."

"Oh!" Kirishima rubbed his neck. "I'm sorry I spam called you, then. I was just worried you got hurt. You never told me you made it.."

"I was so caught up with unpacking, and Izuku basically started throwing the information at me, I never got the chance to, I'm sorry Ei.."

He sounds guilty, or sad from what Kirishima could pick up.

"...Kat are you okay? You can talk to me, you know. That's how we make our relationship work. We're open and honest with each other-"

"I'm fine!" Katsuki snapped. "Don't fucking worry about me, okay!? Focus on keeping Tokyo safe while I'm gone. I, fucking, I love you, I'll call you back later-"

"I love you too.." Kirishima's voice trailed off after Bakugo ended the call. Why was he so snappy? Had Kirishima done something?

Did he find something out?

"Yo, Kirishima!" Denki laughed from his bedroom. "Is this a microphone!? I didn't know you and Bakugo were that kinky!?"

Kirishima dropped the phone, his body going cold. He swallowed thickly, leaving the phone where it was as he went back into his room. He nervously laughed, "I didn't want you to find out the kinky stuff we do-"

"Can I listen to some? Where's the stockpile bro-?"

"I deleted them, but um, we had a site or whatever," Kirishima lied. That mic wasn't for anything near what Denki was suggesting. Bakugo had planted a mic. Bakugo knew.

Katsuki Bakugo knew he was working with Denki.

Kirishima grabbed the microphone and turned it off, shoving it back into the pile of Bakugo's clothes.

"Kiri? Are you okay? I was just joking?"

He hadn't even realized he'd started hyperventilating. He shakily raised his hand to make a thumbs up, chuckling.

Eijiro Kirishima knew he was fucked. And so was his relationship. So was the league.

"Can we stay at the bar for the night instead? It's weird for me to be home without Bakugou."

Denki and Toga nodded, smiling.

Kirishima smiled weakly.

-

Izuku gasped from the bed, Shoto and Katsuki immediately looking up from their spot on the floor. The two were looking at potential subjects for other traitors.

"What is it?" Katsuki barked.

"They found the mic." Izuku looked pale. "Kirishima played it off as some sort of sex thing, but he turned it off."

Katsuki went fringed, "that mic was put in a pile of my clothes, under my side of the bed. Kirishima doesn't…"

"Denki found it," Izuku furrowed his eyebrows, rewinding the clip. Katsuki was glad the nerd had his headphones in.

"Him and Toga were trying to find photoes that you took at U.A., and Kirishima said to check your side of the bed while he went to the bathroom. Which is when he called you, I think."

Shoto swore under his breath, moving the papers that were on his lap to the floor. "We need to get on the news, with a big fight. Convince him that maybe the mic wasn't us spying. We need to figure out a way for it to be known that we 'didn't do this', and convince Kiri that the mic was there because of the league."

"We aren't even here for an actual case, we just needed to get out of Tokyo, Todoroki," Izuku moved his laptop. "How do we manage to convince him of this?"

"We start responding to calls around here. Make it seem like we're too active to spy on Katsuki's fiance." Shoto started pacing. "Theres a lot of drug trafficking around here, maybe I could convince Hawks to make it look like were working to uncover who's running that."

"We can't just say- that would stop the point of the fucking 'mission', IcyHot!" Katsuki growled, though the blonde was shaking. "We need to be logical about this."

"We could inform FatGum that we found out that members of the league were trying to track you and Kiri," Izuku mumbled. "This would lead to FatGum asking Kiri if he had found anything noteworthy at you're place."

Katsuki grinned. "I'm so glad one of you knows how to use your brain in your relationship."

Shoto rolled his eyes but smiled.

"Should we call now?"

Katsuki shook his head, "Too soon. In the morning."

Izuku nodded and offered a small smile, "So, on a different topic, who are our suspects, oh great Ground Zero?"

"TetsuTetsu for sure, and possibly Monoma. They've been skipping shifts and refusing to respond to rescue calls."

"Now we're getting somewhere." Izuku grinned.
