Chapter 4

I had just finished my last lesson of the day, potions and had a few hours to spend with James before day two of detention. I met him in the astronomy tower. We always went there for some alone time.

The first thing James asked me,

'how was the detention last night, Malfoy didn't say anything to you did he? Because if he did...'

'what are you going to do, you never defend yourself against him and your saying your going to defend me' I replied quite harshly

James went pink in the face ( he looked so adorable)

' I was only kidding' I said reassuring him

'I know, but it's not that I don't defend myself it's just don't want to waste my time with Malfoy. I have better things to do' as he said that last line he he got closer to me and had a sly grin on his face

'really and what better things do you have to do? I replied, I couldn't help but smile

'let me show you' he said and as he said that he pushed me against the wall and pressed his lips against mine. I put my arms around his neck and pulled him closer. I played with his thick brown hair as we kissed but just like every time we came close I began to worry. Our relationship was getting more and more serious everyday.

Once again was so lost in James I lost track of time and was almost late for my detention. Once again I rushed of leaving James in the astronomy tower all alone.

I went to the room where the detention was however this time is wasn't the one that was late, Malfoy was nowhere to be seen. He showed up after about ten minutes.

'Malfoy you are late' the professor stated

'I had something important I had to do' he replied looking a bit ...scared?

The professor waited for an apology but it didn't come, so we went ahead with the detention.

What a rude idiot I thought to myself

It was almost ten at night and the professor lead us to Hagrid's house.

'today you two will be helping Hagrid for your detention' the professor said. Once she told us what we had to do she left

We waited and waited for Hagrid but he never showed up. I assume he forgot or was busy with one of his pets. After a while me and Malfoy got fed up of waiting, so Malfoy stood up and started to walk away.

'where you going?' I asked quite rudely

'oh let me guess you have better things to do' I answered imitating Malfoy

Once again he didn't say anything back to me. He just looked at me and smiled. His smile was hardly noticeable but it was there

'what are you smiling at?' I demanded to know

'nothing, you just make me laugh sometimes' he replied, his smile was much bigger now

'I not being funny Malfoy' I cleared

'I know but I just find you funny' he said again

Okay I thought to myself, why is Malfoy acting so...what's the word...normal? He wasn't being a pain for once. For a moment I just sat there staring at him...again.

'what, why do you keep looking at me like that' he asked going a bit red at his cheeks

'Malfoy, you know in these two days of detention I'm seeing you as a different person. Wait a minute' I jumped up In shock

'who are you and what have you done with the real Draco Malfoy?' I joked while keeping a serious face

He just smiled, almost about to laugh, I could see he was holding it back.

'hey your not that bad you know that Puckett' he said out of nowhere not keeping eye contact. I swear I saw him blush.

Malfoy just gave me a compliment... Well sort of

'who said I was bad in the first place?' I replied to his compliment

'well it's just I always knew you as the girl who screamed at me for her boyfriend' he chuckled

I could feel the heat go to my cheeks, wait was I blushing, Draco Malfoy made me blush, what was happening to me?

There was a slight silence then Malfoy asked me something

'so are you going to sit here all night and be a good girl or are you going to blow off the detention'

'I am not going to blow of the detention' I answered back sounding serious

'fine I'm off, you can sit here In the cold and dark right next to the forest all alone' he said in a haunting tone and then started walking away smiling

He really creeped me out. With voldormort on the loose I wasn't go to sit here on my own so I ran and caught up with Malfoy

'I knew you would come' he smiled

'so you up for an adventure'

'what kind of adventure' I asked confused

Malfoy smiled. He looked at the forest and them to me.

'no way Malfoy' I shouted

'I am not going in the forest'

'your always acting so tough, standing up for James and now your scared' he laughed

'I-I- I'm not scared' I said however you could hear the fear in my voice

He carried on laughing at me

'FINE, I'll show you, I'll go in the forest all on my own, I'll be back in 10 minutes' as I said that I walked into the forest

I could still hear Malfoy laughing at me from behind

Draco's Pov

I was laughing at katelyn just to get her angry and she took it seriously and actually went in he forest.

I thought she would come screaming out within five seconds but she didn't. She was actually going to do this, she was going to stay in there for 10 minutes.

I waited for 10 minutes to be over but she still didn't come. Maybe she was just a little late. I waited and waited, it had been twenty minutes now, she still didn't come.

I was starting to worry, what if something happened to her? I can't let anything happen to her!

I ran as fast as I could into the forest to find her...
