Chapter 13: Jaeger vs Hydra

"BEGIN!"

"Good-luck brother Hydra." Jaeger cupped his fist towards Hydra.

'Swish' A spear flew passed Jaegers head, Jaeger was a bit startled by this because his eyes were closed. it wasn't the spear that startled him but the way how it was used.

"This reminds of the old geezer." He started chuckling, Jaeger walked to the spear, took it up and stared at it before passing it back to Hydra.

"Brother Hydra missed." The lackeys were surprised.

"How did Hydra miss? It was a accurate throw." The giant youth said.

"He didn't miss, Jaeger moved so fast it looked like he was standing still." Haeden thought to himself, only he and the goddesses could see what had happened and maybe some of he elders.

"Amazing, such speed!" Elder Jun said, his hunch was right about Jaeger, he was indeed a genius.

"How did I miss?" Hydra was certain he would connect with Jaeger.

"Not a bad arm brother Hydra!" Jaeger praised him.

"Ha, I was just warming up brother Jaeger." Hydra continued to give off a friendly expression.

"Isn't this suppose to be a spar? Why is Hydra taking it seriously, that spear could've killed a normal student!" Elder Jun thought to himself.

"Very well I am coming!" Hydra rushed to Jaeger and made a barrage of thrusts.

Jaeger ducked and dodged effortlessly, going around the Hall.

'Ahh!' Hydras thrust became faster and more precise, but Jaeger continued to dodge them easily. Jaegers expression turned cold seeming as if he was bored of Hydras thrusts.

"Is he looking down on me?" Hydra started to feel irritated by his casual dodges.

The barrage of strikes didn't even grazed Jaeger, the crowd were very surprised by Jaegers reflexes, they knew he was a level 30 but because of his age they doubt he would've been experienced in combat, they viewed him as some sort of rich family kid that grew up on expensive means to boost his level to this point.

"Hey fight back!"

"Coward!"

"He's just running!"

After a few mins the crowd felt annoyed by Jaegers dodging, they wanted to see a one sided massacre not this. Unaffected by the angered crowd Jaeger continued dodging, Hydra was feeling very infuriated at the moment and made some distance between them.

"My Jaegers combat abilities have improved enormously!" Jade said excitedly.

"Indeed, he is in a class of his own right now." Scarlet nodded.

Hydra continued making some distance between them and held his spear with both hands inserting his spiritual pressure inside of it.

"His spear is a spiritual level weapon!" A spectator said after watching Hydras spear , in this world weapons had different grading, basic, middle, advanced, spiritual, soul-breaking and celestial above those were unheard of to the lower level cultivators. In that order they represented how Strong and durable a weapon is, the gap between them are massive when compared.

"To think Hydra learned the basics of manipulating spiritual energy, a genius!" An elder in the audience said.

'Boom!' Hydras spear erupted with a white-green color light. Hydra entire body started to glow and split into three other beings looking just like him.

"He wasn't called Hydra for nothing, his spears special technique is duplication and the clones coming from it were Just slightly weaker than the original but together they could still do a good damage, this kid is doomed!" The lackeys said proudly, Jaeger was able to dodge Hydra on a one on one fight, but now Jaeger was facing eight hands instead of two, his odds of dodging were slim.
