hi sorry, i didn't know what to title this.
so, y'know what really annoys me- when people write a story with a celebrity playing a huge role in it and completely mess up their entire personality.
usually this happens in fanfiction which i, as i've said before, don't read much at all but i did read a few in seventh grade and may i just say, that was a b a d decision because now i permanently have an image of gerard way calling me "babygirl" and i'm... i'm still scarred for life
lets use harry styles as our example, which i have absolutely no clue about so i have no idea how he acts. i barely know what he does. doesn't he sing or something?
"'What should we do, Harry?' I looked over at him and smiled. 'RiGhT, I don't know, my broski how about we go to del taco? i heard they've got a new thing called fre sh a vaca do? fr-freesh--'"
that was the worst thing I've ever wrote in my entire life, but you get the point. i'm sure that's not how the real Harry Styles acts.. actually, no, I'm positive that that's not how he acts.
if you want a good impression of the person you're writing about, watch some interviews starring them! or you can find videos of fans meeting them, etc.! There's plenty of resources to use if you want to make it feel like the real person is in your story. It just makes it feel better and more authentic.
