"Ion know why you made me come out here tonight?" I complained to my friend, Tia, as we walked up the bleachers going to sit down to watch the basketball game at our high school

"Cause. We supposed to be enjoying the end of our senior year but you wanna sit in the house looking lame"

"Ion like these people and you know that" I made a stank face, following her to the empty seats. Once we sat down I looked around.

Besides the loud ass cheerleaders and the crowds screaming for both teams, my attention laid on two specific people in the stands. Not too far away on the other end of the bleachers we sat on was my male best friend, Geo, and some girl up under him. While she recorded herself, holding onto his arm that was thrown around her he talked to somebody else that sitting over there near them

"That boy is a hoe"

"Deadass" she responded as she ate one of the chips out of my bag of Doritos I held. "You need to tell yo friend he need to slow down before his dick fall off"

"What he do with his dick ain my business. Ion care"

Tia looked at me with a side eye "girl..."

"What?"

"Uh oh! they got that girl outta the house! Wassup Ziggy!" Eli, one of our classmates yelled from the bottom of the bleachers causing people to turn and look at me so I stuck my finger up. I guess Geo heard him as well because his eyes landed in my direction before he got up, leaving the girl to walk over to where we were sitting

"How you just gone leave yo lil girlfriend?" Tia asked him as he pushed past her to sit in between the both of us

"Shut up" he responded before looking at me "now when I asked yo ass to come you said no but Tia could get you to come?"

"I didn't even wanna come. She forced me to come to this stupid ass game"

"Cause you need to get out the house. You stay in that house alone all the time"

"Maybe I enjoy being alone" I shrugged making Geo chuckle

"Yo uncle still on the road?" He asked, referring to my uncle Dominic, my dad's brother that I lived with who drives trucks to avoid being in the house with me. Being that he bluntly said I reminded him of my dad who was killed in a one car accident a few years ago. I would've lived with my mom but she became unstable mentally after losing my dad so my next best thing was my uncle

" you know that man only comes home on holidays"

"Well what y'all getting into after the game?"

"I gotta go hone. My momma and my sister work tonight so I gotta watch my niece and brother" Tia told him and he looked at me, waiting for me to respond too. I just shrugged

"My bed"

"Ima pull up on you after I drop her off" he pointed over to the girl he was sitting with

"Who? Your lil girlfriend"

Geo sucked his teeth "that ain my girl, chill out" he told me before snatching my bag of chips and stood up

"Hey Geo" some girl waved with a smile as she walked past, going up to the top of the bleachers and Geo turned to look at her, chucking his chin up at her

"Wassup" he spoke back before watching her walk up the bleachers then looked at me again

"Can I get my chips back"
