Chapter 15: Project: Win The Girl

Kagome continued to try to make a move on Tsukishima. Even though he made it pretty clear on how he felt towards her. Ennoshita and I just witnessed the whole thing unfold. It got quite annoying after some time because we weren't gettting any work done. "Hey guys, here I wrote my address on a piece of paper. Let's go to my place after school so we could work on the project", Ennoshita said while handing everyone a piece of paper. I nodded my head and then packed my things because the lunch bell rang. I grabbed my bag and I was off looking for Yamaguchi, so I could eat lunch with him.

Time Skip~ After School

It was now the end of school so I packed my stuff and I was ready to go to Ennoshita's place. "Hey Tsuki? Do you want to walk with me?", I asked him in a timid and shy tone. "Sure, Shortcake", he said teasingly. We both got up and we're about to go to Ennoshita's place, but someone stopped us. "Wait! Kei! Wait for me please~", Kagome said while rushing towards Tsukishima. Tsuki looked really annoyed and continued walking. I trailed behind him. She then caught up to us and wrapped her arms around Tsuki's arm. This made me flinch and feel a bit upset that she was so close to Tsukishima, but I ignored it. I walked on the other side of Tsukishima keeping the same pace. "So~ Kei, tell me. What types of girls are you into?", Kagome said bluntly while playing with Tsukishima's jacket. This made me more upset. "Don't call me Kei. We aren't close.", he said while pulling his arm away from her grasps. She then started getting irritated. "Umm, were suppose to take a left and then 5 houses down and that should be Ennoshita's house", I explained to them. Tsukishima then nodded. While Kagome just glared at me. We finally arrived at Ennoshita's place and I knocked on the door. Ennoshita opened the door and greeted us with a warm welcome. "Hey guys! Glad you guys can make it!", he said while making some room for us to come in. We all bowed and thanked him for having us over then we took off our shoes and entered the lovely home. Ennoshita's home was quite tidy and clean. "Do you guys want any drinks?", Ennoshita asked while getting 4 cups. "I'll have green tea please", I said while grabbing my pens and notebook. "I'll have some water", Tsuki said while sitting at the dining table opening his notebook. "I'll have some lemon water", Kagome requested while pulling a sit next to Tsuki. "Alright", Ennoshita said while getting the drinks we wanted. "Do you need any help?", I asked while approaching him. "No it's alright, please go help the rest of the group.", he said. I nodded my head in response. I took a sit across from Tsuki. "Kei~ Can you please talk to me~", Kagome said in a Kawaii voice. Tsukishima made a 'tch' sound and scooted farther from Kagome. She then continued to piss him off, so he got up and grabbed his stuff and sat next to me. "Twerp! Get up! I want to sit next to Kei!", Kagome commanded me. "Stop calling me that! Ugh your so annoying!", Tsuki blurted out. Kagome then went back to her sit and pouted. "Okay, let's get started. Let's start off by brainstorming", Tsuki said. Sh!t I have no idea.

2 Hours Later

"Can we please take a break!", Kagome complained. "Yeah, I think that's a good idea, we have been working for 2 hours straight", I stated hoping for a break. "Hey I live near a convenience store. I can get a couple of snacks. It's not too late.", Ennoshita said. "Oh it's alright, that would be a bother", I said refusing his offer. "No, it's alright the convenience store is like a 2 streets down, I'll be fine", Ennoshita reassured. "If your going to go might as well take this nuisance", Tsuki said rudely while pointing at Kagome. "Wait! I didn't-", before Kagome could finish Ennoshita grabbed a hold of her and dragged her out. I could tell Tsuki felt relieved she was gone and he could catch a break from her annoyance. "Finally, that nuisance is gone", Tsuki stated while slouching down in his chair. I chuckled at his sudden action. "I suppose she was annoying, but we still have to include her, I mean she is part of the group Tsuki", I said while laying my head on the table. "Gosh Iko, your too positive sometimes", Tsuki said while laying his head on the table as well. "Well sometimes it's better to think positive than negative, don't you think Tsuki?", I said while looking at our ideas on the lined paper. He just shrugged and grabbed his water and took a sip. "Hey, do you have any idea how we can pass this project?", I questioned him sighing and feeling a bit discourage in the situation. "Your still on the project? I thought we we're taking a break Iko?", Tsuki said while analyzing what we had done. "Well to be honest, this project is giving me a headache.", I said while holding my temple. "Iko? Are you alright?", he asked while holding my shoulder. I shook my head 'No' because my head started vibrating and I felt like drumsticks were being banged against my head. "Here, Iko have some water", he said while handing me a glass of water. "Thanks Tsuki...", I said while taking a sip of water. I felt my head bang louder. "Ow", I said while grabbing my head again. "Hey! Shortcake! Are you alright?", Tsuki said while cupping my face in his hands. I felt my head burning up and I felt dizzy. Tsuki touched my forehead and noticed it was burning and it was hotter than normal temperature. Tsuki then picked me up in a bridal style and took me to the couch. "Shortcake, stay put alright. I'll be right back.", Tsuki said while grabbing his jacket and putting it over my torso. I felt too weak, I couldn't move so I closed my eyes and relaxed. A couple minutes later he came back with a wet towel, a bowl of cold water, some green tea, medicine, and water. "Hey, shortcake I'm back... you alright", Tsuki said gentle. I managed to open my eyes and nod weakly. He sat me up right and gave me a pill with a glass of water. "Here, take this. It will help with the headache and feeling of fatigue", he said while holding the glass and pills up to my mouth. I consume the pills and drank some water. He then laid me back down. He then puts the towel on my forehead. "Hey shortcake, if Ennoshita and Kagome don't get back, we'll head to my place since it's closer alright?", Tsuki said while caressing my cheek. I nodded my head in response. I just realized how gentle he was. He used a soothingly soft voice. I turned a shade of red at the sudden soft side he revealed. Tsukishima was a prodigy, he was so mysterious in his own way. I guess that's what made him so interesting.

Couple Minutes Later

Tsukishima POV

"Iko we're going to go now. I left Ennoshita a note, we need to go your fever is getting worse. Plus Ennoshita said he got lost thanks to Kagome", I said while packing all her stuff along with mine. I didn't hear a response so I assumed she was asleep. I quickly cleaned the things up leaving no trace we were here. I then grabbed our belongings and zipped up my jacket around her burning body. She was very weak, it hurt me to see her in that state. I picked her up in a piggyback, like I did before. She put her head in the crook of my neck like she did before. I turned different shades of pink. Man how wild this girl drives me, I've fallen for her. It's too late to go back. I caught feelings... again. I sighed in stress and frustration. "Heh, shortcake... I've fallen in love with you... I can't believe it myself, but you make me feel so special. Your smile and eyes are enough to light up my world. I feel like I'm making it obvious I love you, but I guess your a bit dense huh, shortcake. I wish it was this easy to tell you when your awake, but I suppose I fear rejection like every other", I chuckled right after knowing she was sound asleep and anything I said to her was inaudible to her ears.
