Chapter 17: Confession

Morning Time

Tsukishima's POV

The warmth of the sunlight hit my face waking me up from my deep slumber. I blink a couple times to clear my vision from the blur. I feel a weight laying on top of me, it was soft and cuddly. I look down my chest to see a fast asleep Iko. She was quite beautiful in her sleep, she was so peaceful and adorable. The sight was adorable and cute that I couldn't avert my eyes. I raise one of my hands and place it on her head. I rub her head. I felt so lucky to have someone like her. She brought out the best sides of me. I admired her beautiful features like her big soft cheeks, they were a light shade of pink. Her small adorable nose, that was a tint red. She was like the embolism of perfection to me. I couldn't take my eyes off her. I started playing with her strands of hair. Her hair was silky smooth and soft. She then started to open her eyes slowly because of the unexpected light. Her beautiful green orbs opened up with a tired look in her eyes. She yawned and turned to face me. At that moment our faces were so close that our noses touched. All the blood in my body rushed to my cheeks and I looked like a tomato. She also had a flushed look on her face. "S-Sorry... Tsuki...", She said while attempting to lean back, but at that moment I brought her closer to my chest and into my embrace. "C-Can we stay like this a little longer?", I asked as I stroked her head with my other hand. I could feel the heat on her face through the fabric of my shirt. She just nodded in response to my request. She was quite flustered, I chuckled at her adorableness. I couldn't take it anymore, I just couldn't wait. I needed to tell her how I felt, because it hurt me so much to know anyone could take her from my grasps at any moment. "Iko?", I asked while looking down at her. She hummed in response. "I've been meaning to tell you something that might be a shock to you...", I said. She looked up at me and said "What is it Tsuki?". I took a deep breath and sighed preparing myself for the confession. " Iko, I have feelings for you. Ever since the moment when we first met. I was just so drawn to you and I didn't know why. I thought you were any other girl in the world, but after you showed me your personality and how you cared so much for others unconditionally I couldn't help but fall for you. I didn't admit it at first because I thought it was crazy, how could I fall for someone so unlike me? But the more I was around you, my feelings grew stronger and I realized I'd fallen deeper in love with you... so what I'm trying to say is... I love you". I confessed my feelings to her, I let her see my bit of vulnerability to her, which is something I wouldn't normally do, but I needed to. She looked up at me with eyes of shock. I slowly started to regret what I had just said to her. I then slowly turn my gaze away from her in a bit of pain in my eyes. I then felt something soft on my cheek. I looked to see what it was. A pair of soft pink-ish lips were placed on my cheek. "I love you too Tsuki!", Iko said while hugging me even tighter. I felt heat on my cheeks and I felt her red face on my chest. I wrapped my hands around her and sighed in relief. I then placed my lips on her forehead for a quick peck. I could feel her face get even warmer, I chuckled at her reaction.
