Adrain's pov
I need to get her back I think to myself in a daze, the pain won't stop and all I want to do is take care of her. I know Chloe can take care of herself but as Alpha, it's my job to protect my pack and my mate and feeling her in pain means I am failing as an Alpha.
I need to work out a way to get into contact with her but how can I do that when I have no idea where the council even stays and even if I could find out they would never let me in.
"hey alpha just heading out to take Jayden to school" my beta smiles walking into the office
"Actually, I will come with" I smile back forming a plan in my head, while chole won't be there that Alice chick will be.
the drive to Jayden's school was super fast for once, normally it feels like a lifetime, I jump out of the car with Jayden and head into the classroom.
"hey Alice" Jayden smiles as he hangs his bag up next to her standing frame
"Hey Jay, how has your morning been" Alice questions
"good, hows clos?" he questions making me smile at the sound of his nickname for her
"um, she's alright. run along with the other kids" Alice smiles making me shake my head
"the lie may have fooled Jayden but it won't fool me when I feel everything" I state once Jayden disappears
"wait you can feel everything that he is doing to her?" Alice questions already realizing her slip up
"whos he?" I question my wolf stirring inside knowing a man is touching her
"don't worry, how can I help you?" she questions probably trying to get away from the conversation so that she doesn't keep slipping up.
"I want to try and talk to her but I can't find any way to, is there any way I can get into contact with her?" I question making Alice nod
"follow me" she hisses lowly as if this is some big secret. I follow behind closely like told straight into a brooms closet, I open my mouth to question why only for her to pull her phone out
"yea john can you put Chloe on the phone?" Alice questions, I can hear a bunch of mumbles before I hear the phone being dropped and the sweet voice of my mate to come through the phone
"I have someone who wants to talk to you, it's important" Alice quickly sends through the phone before handing it to me
"hey, chole its Adrian, before you hang up on me and call me a jerk I am so sorry I know you know the only reason I rejected you was to protect my pack and I know it's sad but you know what happens to us when we are found out and I was scared and I know that's no excuse but please let me make it right, I feel when you are in pain and it tears me apart knowing you wouldn't be in pain right now if I wasn't stupid and rejected you, please let me make things right" I beg
"I will think about it" is all I get before being hung up on, I let out a sad sigh and hand Alice back her phone
"give her time, we all have stuff going on right now and I am sure she wants to deal with it first before diving into mending a relationship with you, I know she misses you though" Alice pats me on the back before rushing to class as the bell rings, I leave the closet and start the walk back to the packhouse because my beta took the car to school and I really can't be bothered with school today.
