"fill this out" the pack lawyer comments pointing towards a dotted line, I quickly sign my name and slide the paperback to his side of the table

"Congratulations you are now the adoptive mother of Jayden, I will get these processed and filed straight away for you" he smiles before grabbing all his things and walking out of Adrains office

"happy?" I question turning to Adrain who just nods

"very, now how about we go on a date?" he questions making me roll my eyes, I have only been on the council for a short amount of time and now Adrain wants to pull me away from work to take me on a date to try and make us bond more as a couple and as mates.

"how about we plan our wedding first" I grumble out, John is making every non-married couple be married within the next few months and apparently because I am his second I need to be married immediately

"I have my beta female doing that, she has always wanted to plan a wedding, now a date" Adrain growls

"I want to plan my own wedding thank you very much" I hiss

"don't use that tone with me, I agreed to your terms but if I have to get married I will have who I want to plan the wedding" I can tell Adrains wold is in control right now

"calm down before I walk out of this office, I don't want a stupid ceremony I just want to sign some papers and go" I growl out

"Fine whatever, I will just call the stupid lawyer back, we will get married and that will be the end of it but you have to bloody go on a date with me afterwards" he growls

"fine" I slump back in my chair tired from my screaming match with Adrain, I don't see us getting along any time soon and if it wasn't for the stupid rule book I most definitely wouldn't be marrying him.

"he's on his way" Adrain sighs out making me nod my head in approval, I have no idea why the moon goddess would stick me with this ass wipe as a mate, she most definitely messed up somewhere along the way when picking out mates, they are meant to be your other half, the missing piece to the puzzle, not some ass wipe who rejects you and has nothing in common with you.

"Sorry it took me so long to get back here, I had to grab the marriage forms" the lawyer breathes out as he sits back down in the chair from before.

"I need you both to sign here and here" he points to the dotted lines I go first and sign my name away before sliding the paper to Adrain who signs above me and dates the paper.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife" the lawyer boredly grumbles before slipping out of the room to file everything

"let's get this over with" I grumble making Adrain shake his head

"I guess so" Adrain smiles almost like he is proud to have won a date with me.

Adrain drags me through the forest, his pack borders onto the beach so it doesn't surprise me when I start to hear the water crashing against the rocks.

"really a beach date?" I question, I don't want Adrain to know that I love the beach and would prefer a beach date over a fancy dinner any day, I rub my side where the rejection brand is and try and stop myself from crying, I will never be able to forgive Adrain rejecting me when I will forever have a rejected brand on my body, I know he didn't give it to me himself but I got it because of his decision and because of that, I will always remember how we started.

"yes, a beach date" he smiles before sitting down on a set of rocks.

the whole date is filled with us talking about our futures, our past, our dreams and working out fine details about the council and the pack.
