Your mind was running wild trying to figure out the best thing to do in this situation. You were deciding between running through the balcony door and fly away as fast as you could, or stay and try to talk to Hawks and possibly fight him if you had to.
The flying away part seemed like the worst option because he would most likely be faster than you. Also that would mean leaving your life behind, again.
"I have no idea what you are talking about", you decided to play dumb in hopes that he would actually believe what you say, but you were wearing your full costume, there was no way he would believe you. There hadn't been photos of you in the media yet so he shouldn't know what Phoenix looked like, unless he had been watching you for a while now.
"Oh, so that wasn't you flying to the balcony escorted by fire? My bad!" Hawks answered to you with the same smile on his face that he had earlier today at the restaurant.
He took a small step closer maybe hoping you wouldn't notice, but you did, and took a step back towards the balcony."I wouldn't even bother trying to escape if I was you!" He said figuring out that you had at least thought about escaping.
"You wouldn't even make it outside the yard", he continued with a smirk on his face."What do you want?" You decided that trying to talk while slowly going towards the exit was the best plan at the moment.
"Just for you to come quietly, you should know working without a license is illegal, and you have been caught", Hawks said still smiling, did he think this was entertaining?
"Without me people will get hurt.." you muttered quietly, while keeping eye contact with the hero. Had he gotten closer again? You were running out of time at this point.
You had seen news articles about the winged hero that was standing in your living room. He could have gotten you by now, he wasn't the #2 hero for nothing, so there had to be another motive behind his visit.
"What do you actually want?" You asked and saw his face change for a second before it changed back to smiling.
"Like I said, I'm taking you in", Hawks said but you didn't believe him.
When the hero took another step closer to you, you finally decided to go with the escaping plan.
By the change in his expression it seemed like he could read your mind.
He quickly sent a few feathers forward making you fall and binning you to the ground."You should have come quietly", Hawks said while walking closer and squatting down next to you. For a while you tried to struggle free but that was useless, his feathers were strong.
"I really didn't wanna ruin this appartment.." you said softly while making eye contact with Hawks. Before he could do anything you had activated your fire quirk burning away the feathers holding you down.
"Didn't anyone ever tell you to not play with fire?" You asked smugly while getting up from the ground, Hawks had taken a few steps backwards.
He couldn't touch you if you were covered with fire so you let your quirk consume your whole body.Since you had good combat skills you hadn't really used your fire quirk besides the wings. If he truly had been watching you, than maybe he only thought you had the wings instead of being able to control the fire all around your body.
A big mistake on his part. You made sure that your legs weren't fully covered in the fire, you didn't want it to spread and cause a lot of damage to the apartment. And if the whole building caught on fire, it wouldn't look good on your 'saving people' record.
"Okay, you made your point", Hawks said with a calm voice and had his hands up next to his face.
"I'm not some villain who needs to be calmed down! I'm in full control of my quirk and this situation and I want to be left alone!" You said back to him with a strict voice.
