What do you want, O Savage?
Why do you channel such rage?
I want to know,
Why to you shall we bow?
Why shall we submit?
We will find another exit,
But to your tyranny,
We will not go down to our knee.
You with your comatose conscience
Should bare this in mind
That it is you, who will flee
Like a golf ball flying off its tee.
Its been days over three hundred and sixty three,
All we have wished for is to be free,
But you savages wouldn't let us,
Mark our domain on the world's atlas.
What did we ever do,
To deserve this brutality rendered by you?
O savage, we deserve to know,
Why did you kill the little boy with the eyes of a doe?
Or the man, the protector of his kindred?
Or raped the girl with the shawl, red?
Or take away the mother of five,
Who without her couldn't survive?
O Savage, Why, we ask?
Just because that tyrant put you to this task?
We ask you, have you got no mercy?
No conscience, not a streak of humanity?
Why do you not leave?
We will not give in, why is it hard to believe?
We have chosen,
Shown it through numerous referendums,
We have made it clear,
There's no confusion in the air,
We want to be the part of green and white,
To get what we want we will fight,
We will come out stronger every Friday,
Our determination will not sway.
Bruise me and Break my bones,
Throw at me your sticks and stones.
But till you leave my paradise
Till you surrender, we shall rise,
And rise again,
Until our peace is regained!
O savage, O Indian, leave
Accept your defeat!
O, what do you want?
Why do you not hear what we Chaunt?
" We will be liberated,
Take the freedom, that's so highly rated!"
Go away!
Stay away.
