A/N: Definitely an Au, nothing like this ever actually happens.
Betty's relationship was perfect. He treated her wonderfully, showed her off to his friends, and would never do anything she wasn't comfortable with. There was just one problem. She didn't love Archie. Not the way he loved her.
In the beginning, she had, but now she was wondering if perhaps she was more in love with the idea of love than actually loving him. Now, she loved him more like a best friend. She couldn't bear to tell him this, however. They had been dating for close to a year and she didn't want to break his heart by telling him they should just be friends.
So she stayed unhappy. So he continued to treat her well, and she figured she could fake it well enough until he wanted to end it. It was good enough.
One day, Archie invited her over to his house for a movie. She accepted and they sat together on the couch, his arm slung around her shoulders, a bit tighter than she wanted it.
They heard a knock at the door.
"Hang on," Archie told her, "I'll get it."
He went to open the door. When he did, a group of men, clad in leather jackets with snakes on them, pushed past him into the house.
"Hey! You can't just barge into my home like that!" Archie yelled indignantly. Betty was scared. She froze on the couch, not knowing what to do. They had all seen her, so there was no point in running to hide.
Then, the hottest man she had ever seen entered the house behind to group. She immediately felt guilty for thinking that. He glared so fiercely at Archie that she thought his eyes would melt. He glanced at her for a second before smirking.
"Grab him," he ordered his men before two of them held Archie's arms so he wouldn't escape. He then turned to face Betty and walked towards her.
"What do you want from him?" she whispered, scared out of her mind.
"He messed with the wrong people, I suggest you don't worry about it."
"Betty," Archie said from the corner, "Don't be scared. I'm not going to let him hurt you."
The man in front of her laughed.
"Red, if I wanted to, what would you do about it? Pardon me for not being particularly intimidated by you at the moment."
"Leave her alone!" Archie spat.
"Wow. Quite protective over this one, hmm?" He turned back to Betty, "Why don't you go upstairs, undress and wait for me, Princess?" He smirked. Betty was horrified.
"Don't you dare touch her!" Archie screamed.
"Let me put it this way," he said, ignoring Archie, "Do as I say and maybe I won't shoot your boyfriend in the head for what he did. Besides," he said turning to face Archie once again, "What's so special about this one? Different from the slut I usually see you fool around with."
Betty's eyes widened.
"Betty, don't listen to him, he's lying!"
"Lying, am I? You don't want Blondie here knowing you've got your dark-haired lady friend after hours?"
"You're cheating on me?" she whispered. "Tell me the girl he's talking about isn't Veronica."
Archie looked down at the floor.
"You've got to be kidding me! You're fucking my best friend?! Why?!"
"Well, it's not like I can fuck you," he retorted.
