Epilogue

Joe's POV

" This place is amazing " Jon says sitting down on the couch across from me.

" I know " I tell him.

Today was moving day.

We just got done unpacking everything and it's about eleven thirty at night.

I look over to the picture of Nick that's on a table next to me.

We have a picture of Nick in every living room.

" He'd be happy for you " Jon tells me.

" Yeah I wish he could be here to be happy for me " I whisper.

" Me too "

Later

" Hey baby " Colby says as I lay down on our bed.

" Hi " I mumble to him.

" What's wrong? " he ask when he sees me crying.

" I wish Nick could live this " I say as he lays in bed next to me.

" Oh his ghost is definitely walking around " Colby jokes trying to cheer me up.

I just smile and sigh.

Colby lays his head on my chest.

" He's happier " he mumbles to me.

" Yeah I hope so "

Joelle POV

I laugh as Senrina plops down on my bed.

" This place is gigantic " she tells me.

" Yeah we'll never get board here " I inform her.

" Dang right " she says.

" Wanna go watch a movie? " I ask her since we have a movie theater.

" Of course " she tells me.

I grab some pillows and blankets, her doing the same.

We walk to the movie theater and pick a seat in the back.

" How about 'Lady and the Tramp'? " I ask her referring to what movie we should watch.

" I love that movie " she smiles.

I pause the movie once it starts.

" Forgot popcorn " I tell her and she gasp and we get up walking to the nearest kitchen.

I grab the popcorn putting it in the microwave.

My dad's going to buy a popcorn machine and put it in the movie room.

Along with a slushie and pop machine.

The popcorn beeps and I take it out.

Senrina grabs a popcorn bowl and I dump the popcorn in.

" We have popcorn shakers " I tell Senrina.

" Oo get the cheddar one " she tells me and I grab the cheddar one.

I hold the popcorn bowl and shaker while she grabs us our Pepsi.

We walk back in the movie room and take our seats.

" Now we can start " I say and un pause the movie.

Jon's POV

This house is gigantic.

You can never get bored here.

Me and Renee are sleeping in the guest room.

We like it because it's small and cozy.

" They literally have like an outhouse with a laundry room " Renee says still in shock and awe about the house.

" I know it's insane " I tell her.

" I would never live in a house this big " she says turning to look at me.

" Yeah me neither, I like our regular sized house " I say and she nods.

" I hope Joe's okay " she says after a few moments of silence.

" He'll get there soon " I tell her.

I know it in my heart that Joe is going to get better.

I mean Colby did and he was a mess.

But he got there.

Slowly but surely.

" I'm so proud of them " Renee says.

I smile.

" Yeah me too "

" Who would of thought twelve years ago they'd be married, with a kid and have a gigantic mansion? " Renee ask me smiling.

" Oh god I definitely didn't " I laugh remembering how it was twelve years ago.

" I'll miss those days " she whispers.

" Yeah time goes by fast " I say.

These past years have gone by so fast.

Sometimes I wish time would slow down.

Other times I don't.

" I hope Nicky's happier "

" Yeah me too, that dude deserves to be at peace " I say and look at a picture of Nick that's on the dresser.

" He fought with himself so much "

" Yeah he did. Hopefully that changed " I tell Renee.

" I wish it could of changed when he was here still " she says sadly.

" Me too "

She yawns and pulls the covers over her.

" Sleepy time " she whispers and I chuckle.

Sleepy time.

Here's to a fresh new start and new memories.

Hopefully good ones.

I think we deserve some good memories with all the shit we've been through.
