The meaning behind it

" Please I can't breathe. My neck hurts, My stomach hurts, everything hurts. Their going to kill me "

Those were the words of George Floyd as 4 officers were applying all of their body weight on him. One officer holding his knee against his neck. They did this until George died.

They accused George of " Forging checks "

This is the world we live in.
A world where people have to fear for their life when they get stopped by a police officer.
All because of the color of their skin.

I can't believe we have to keep talking about this. It won't stop.
We need justice.
Black lives Matter.

" Blue lives matter "
I can't believe people say that.
Blue lives matter? Really?
What about the black lives?
That your " Blue lifes " Take.
We matter too.
We deserve our justice.

There's a reason we say " Fuck the police "

Police brutality is disgusting.
They think they can just kill us because they have a little bit of power.

I hate the fact that we are judged because the color of our fucking skin.
THE COLOR OF OUR SKIN!!
This is disgusting!

WE HAVE FAMILIES TOO!
WE MATTER TOO!

I have to keep living this horrible life.

George was on the news this morning.
I had to have the hardest conversation ever with my kids.

They walked in the living room and saw George on the television.

They said " Mommy why is that man on the TV? "

I told them " Well he sadly died "

" But mommy a bunch of people die "

And I had to look my three beautiful, loving, caring kids in the eyes and tell them.

" He died because he's black "

My kids. Three of them. They are young.

There's Kenji who is 3 years old. Then I have Armel and Javier who are both 8.

And guess what?
Their also black.

And I had to tell my black children that they have to fear for their lives because of their skin.

Do you get how hard that is?
To teach your kids what to do when they are stopped by the police so they aren't murdered.

Rule number 1: hands where they can see

You don't want them thinking you have a weapon.

" Why? "

Well they'll shot you.

Rule number 2: hood down

" Why? "

They need to see your face.

Rule number 3: get on the ground

It's better then being thrown on it.

My kids sobbed.
They sobbed their hearts out

" Mommy that's not fair "
" I didn't choose to be black "
" It's just skin "
" We shouldn't have to die "

They are right.
It's not fair.
We shouldn't have to die.
Just because of our skin color.

Let me tell you some things white people have said about us.

" Get a job, you're lazy and all you do is sell dope "
