Chapter 10

Chapter 10: Unexpected Family

Nik

"She passes out at the sight of blood," a southern voice says from the door.

"Whitlocks? What are you two doing here?" I ask.

"Bella," Jasper says.

"How do you know my mate?" I look at him.

"She's my great great great great niece. That and we met in Forks," he tells me.

"Peter?" Bekah asks.

"I'm only here helping Major fix the problem that should've been fixed a while back." 

"The red-head?" Kol asks.

"Yes, why?" They both look ask Kol.

"She's been back to Isabella's house. She left a note telling Bella she'd be back for her. She killed an innocent human and left him at Bella's house," Hayley says.

    "Darlin', I know you're awake. Might as well open your eyes," Jasper says to Isabella.

"She's not your darling so don't call her that," I say.

"Nik, we're not here to cause problems. The red-head, Victoria, is after my great great great niece. I'm not going to let that happen." Peter looks at me.

"Jasper?" Bella tries to sit up.

"Not so fast, love. Are you alright?" I ask.

"I'm fine. Why are you here Jasper? How did you find me? Did Alice rat my ass out? Who are you? Are the rest of them with you?" She asks.

"Slow down, Bells. I'm here because of Victoria. I didn't know I'd find you when following her scent. Alice? She knows where you are? No, the rest of them are not with me, I should say I'm not with them anymore," Jasper tells her.

"You were a part of the family that broke her?" Bekah asks.

"Enough! Is there somewhere else we could take this? Bella is in shock and needs to be left alone for a few," Hayley snaps.

Elijah, Finn, Kol, Bekah, Marcel, and Hayley leave the room and the Whitlocks follow them. Charlie is sleeping upstairs since that's where he went after Elijah compelled him to forget what he saw. Bella looks at me and I can tell that she is very stressed out.

"Love, would you like to go for a walk?" I ask her.

She nods and says, "as long as they won't follow us. I'm not sure how I feel about Jasper being back."

"Was he part of the family that hurt you?" I look at her.

"Yes, but I don't blame him," she says.

"Blame him for what? He's not the one who attacked you is he?" I snarl.

"He is, but you have to think about it. He's an empath and he was feeling everyone's bloodlust on top of his own. His eyes weren't black until the one I was dating pushed me into a glass table," she tells me with a straight face.

Jasper comes walking into the room and stops when he sees Isabella talking to me. "Darlin', you don't know how much that means to me."

"I never blamed you Jasper! I told them to tell you that, and I'm sure none of them listened. They never really listened to what I had to say. The birthday party should've never happened. I should've stayed away like you and your twin wanted."

Bella

"After my twin and her husband got me out of there, I ran. I didn't go back and went to see Peter and Char. Char is tracking Victoria as we speak," Jasper says.

"So, you wouldn't know what he told them to make them leave, would you?" I ask.

"What do you mean they left you? They were supposed to stay. That's the reason I left is so they wouldn't have to," he tells me.

"One of your brothers left her in the woods outside her house after telling her that she was nothing, but a plaything for him and that family. He told her that he never loved her. He left her knowing she would follow him and she got lost. Some shapeshifters found her about twelve hours later," Nik tells him while looking at me with a small smile.

"HE DID WHAT?!" Jasper roared.

"Everyone down on their knees and don't look him in the eye. He's not Jasper right now," Peter says coming into the room.

Everyone in the room gets down on their knees and I see Peter do the same thing. I know I should listen, but I don't and I walk over to him. He snarls and I calmly put my hand on his shoulder. I see Nik start to stand and I shake my head letting him know that I have it under control.

"Major, I'm not sure if you know who I am, but I would really like if you could bring Jasper back. I will tell him what happened, but I need him to come back to me," I say.

"I know who you are Isabella. I can't let Jasper out because his emotions are too high. If I were to let him out, everyone in this room would feel what he is feeling. I can't let you or your father go through that," Major tells me.

"Love, why don't you go wake him up. You guys can spend the day together and Hayley and Bekah can show the two of you around town," Nik suggests.

"Would you let Hayley, Bekah, my dad, and I leave Major?" I ask looking at him.

"Yes, I will go into the other room so he won't know I'm here." He walks out of the room.
