"payton?" he asked me, getting up and walking over to me.

"hm?" i asked as few tears fell from my eyes.

"why are you crying princess?" he whispered softly, moving closer to me.

"as much as i hate you right now, which is a lot. i can't stand seeing you so broken." i frowned.

"i'll be okay." he smiled softly.

"i know." i smiled back, pulling him into a hug.

"does this mean-" he started, before i interrupted.

"we can be friends. nothing more." i said, showing a cheeky smile.

"i'll take the friendship, and we can work on the relationship." he laughed.

"there's more relationship to work on." i said.

"but there can be." he smiled.

"No. i already told you over the phone. we are never getting back together Haz. i'm not a second pick." i rolled my eyes.

"you've never been a second pick payton." he frowned.

"i was when you dumped me for a cunt named katie." i chuckled sarcastically.

"technically," he began before i cut him off again,

if i stop him before he can even finish it, it won't piss me off.

"go talk to your mum she misses you." i chuckled.

"i wanna talk to you though." he replied.

"i've got to get home. my mums home for the night." i smiled.

"okay fine." he laughed.

"also i don't won't you hanging out with that one kid anymore."

"jacob?" i asked.

"yeah him." he answered.

"we're friends for two minutes and you're already telling me what to do. don't make me change my mind lewis." i huffed, quite annoyed.

"fine fine, i surrender." he laughed.

"well i've got to go. you've got my number text me when you need me." i laughed.

"hey can you pick me up for school in the morning." he asked, as we walked downstairs.

"i'm taking jacob." i chuckled, adding,

"unless you also wanna ride?"

"nah, i'll text Josh." he smiled.

"when are you gonna take your drivers test?" i giggled.

"probably never." he chuckled, as we reached the door.

"you know i'm always here for you right?" i whispered.

"i know princess." he smiled.

i couldn't help but grin back as much as i hated it.

"text me later?" i asked, while we walked to my car.

"i was going to whether you wanted me to or not." he laughed, pulling me into a hug.

"i missed you so much payton." he sighed, resting his hands on my lower back.

"i know. but that doesn't change what you did." i breathed out.

"why can't you just forget about that?" he asked, which made me want to deck him in the face.

i pulled out of the hug, to see josh and rosie standing there.

"are you a dumbass??" rosie asked, taking harold off guard.

"what do you mean?" he asked.

"she has every right to remember what the fuck you did to her." josh butted in.

"you left her for some whore." rosie rolled her eyes.

"you lost the best thing you've ever had." josh chuckled.

"alright alright lay off of him guys." i giggled, holding my arms out as they both walked into them.

"text me later you two." i smiled once we pulled out of the hug.

"always wilson." josh laughed.

"we still on for our date this weekend right?" rosie asked me.

"fuck yeah. lunch, then mani-pedis babygirl." i laughed.

"i'll see you Saturday." she smiled.

"oh is your friend Caitlin coming too?" rosie asked.

"Yeah. is that okay?" i smiled.

"yes! i love her, she's so sweet." rosie smiled, before going back into the house, alongside josh, leaving just harry and i our there.

"so.. how long have you three been so close?" harry asked, awkwardly.

"how long since you broke up with me?" i asked.

"payton i-" he started.

"no i'm being serious i actually don't remember." i laughed.

"i don't know." he sighed.

"well i gotta go." i said, getting into my car and driving off.

Mum and I had two cups of tea each, and watched four movies, the live action Aladdin, Takers, Onward, Trolls, and then watched a few episodes of keeping up with the kardashian's.

"i'm gonna head to bed since i have to leave early in the morning." mum smiled towards me.

"okay momma. i'll head to my room." i smiled getting up, and wrapping my arms around her tighter than ever.

"i actually have something to tell you." she sighed.

"you're making me nervous?" i asked, as my breathing quickened.

"hey, breathe steady. there no need for an anxiety attack over this." she said, softly.
