This chapter is going to be in Willys POV

"I can't put my finger on it. Candy's the only thing I was ever certain of and now I'm just not certain at all. I don't know which flavours to make or which ideas to try. I'm second-guessing myself, which is nuts. I've always made whatever candy I felt like, and l--I haven't spoken to Y/n in nearly a month, she refuses to see me, refuses to talk to me and worst of all, I've only seen glimpses of my...my baby" I ramble to the Oompa Loompa

"What did I do? What did I say to cause her to- to shut me out?"

The Oompa Loompa looks at him thoughtfully

"I-i think I figured it out, the reason my Candy is so bad. My mood has been crushed ever since Y/n shut me out and so because my emotions are all over the place my candy is terrible" I snap my fingers and sit up quickly

"I'm not sure if that is 100% correct" The Oompa Loompa signs

"What do you mean?" I ask, furrowing my brows

"If my mind hasn't deceived me, you're the one who pushed Miss Y/n away, by practically shoving in her face that she looms over you and that you don't need family" My eyes widen in realisation

"Oh my god, I have to go" I exclaim, practically running out of the room

~

For the first time in 20 years, I came outside.

It was strange not being noticed on the streets, but it was kinda nice.

But I had to stay focused, I had to find Charlie and ask for his help.

I spot him cleaning a mans shoes and quickly buy a newspaper, casually giving Charlie a few coins whilst the paper hid my face.

"Pity about that chocolate fellow, Wendell-- Walter." I exclaim

"Willy Wonka." Charlie replies

"That's the one." I say "Says here in the paper his new candies aren't selling very well. But I suppose maybe he's just a rotten egg who deserves it."

"Yep" Charlie was obviously not interested in the chit-chat

"Oh really? You ever met him?" I ask

"I did. I thought he was great at first, but then he didn't turn out so nice." Charlie explains "He also has a funny haircut"

"I do not!" I gasp, throwing the newspaper down

"Why are you here?" Charlie sighs

"I don't feel so hot" I mutter "What makes you feel better when you feel terrible?"

"My family" Charlie shrugs, I groan and sit back in the chair "What do you have against my family?"

It's not just your family. It's the whole idea of--They tell you what to do, what not to do and it's not conducive to a creative atmosphere."

"How's Y/n?" Charlie asks

"Y/n's stopped talking to me" I mumble "After everything I said at your house a month ago she's refused to see me, let alone meet my child"

"She had her baby?" Charlie cocks his head to the side

"Yeah, she went into labour when she left your house, I blame myself for her early delivery"

"Perhaps you should talk to a family member"

"Who my father" I scoff "No way...At least not by myself"

"You want me to go with you?" Charlie offers

"Hey. Hey that's a great idea! Yeah!" I cheer standing up "And you know what? I've got transport--" I suddenly slam into the elevator

"I have to be more careful where I park this thing." I mutter to myself, stepping into the lift with Charlie trailing behind me.

~

"I think we have the wrong house" I sigh, only to cringe when I see the familiar

Wilbur Wonka

Charlie knocks, a few moments later the door swings open and I have to physically hold myself back from turning and running.

"Do you have an appointment?" Wilbur asks

"No. But he's overdue" Charlie replies

"Open" Wilbur orders me, I look up at him with wary eyes before opening my mouth "Now, let's see what the damage is, shall we?" Wilbur chuckles, examining my mouth.

My eyes cast over to Charlie who seems to be admiring the cutouts from newspapers on my achievements

"Heavens..." Wilbur says quietly "I haven't seen bicuspids like these since...Since...." Wilburs eyes move down to face me, his eyes glossing over with tears

"W-willy?" Wilbur whispers

"Hi dad" I smile weakly

"All these years and you haven't flossed." He mutters

"Not once" I shake my head

He places his tools down and awkwardly embraces me.

My head rests against his chest and I close my eyes at the sound of his steady heartbeat.
