Chapter 46: New Chapter

Pie's POV:

"Ms. Pie, James is on line 1. Will you take it?

Nina, who's my assistant asked. I smiled at her and shook my head. I laughed as she rolled her eyes and take the call again. I know she will scold me in while now. It's nothing new. She was my mom's secretery but now's mine.

"Pie, that guy called for like twenty times already  for this week. Why won't you take it? You're so cruel."

Told yah! I just knew it. She is like my mother. Just a bit younger. I stop working on my computer and smiled at her.

"I told you, three dates, and I'm done."

She raised her brow and walk towards me.

"Pie, your mom wants you to settle down or maybe just have a serious relationship, atleast. Aren't you tired of that three-dates-and-I'm-done thing of yours?"

I look at her. She's right, It's been what? Seven years since I had a serious relationship. It's not that I don't want to but I'm always busy since i got back from Hawaii and help mom in our business. I am open to dating, yes but I don't have the time to get into a relationship.

"I told you, dating is okay but relationship? You know I'm busy."

I heard her sighed and shook her head. I know, I already won this discussion.

"Okay. Whatever you say, Pie. I'll be at my table when you need anything. Okay?"

I sweetly smiled at her.

"Okay. Don't worry! By the way any news about the supplier for the resturants?"

"Uhmm.. well, your mom chose some supplier before she went on vacation but she didn't decide with the two prospect. She told me that you're the one who's going to choose between the two. Tomorrow, you are going to visit their site and warehouses. You better be ready."

"Okay, I need their file in my table later to check. I'm going out first"

"Uhmmm.. perhaps a date?" She asked.

"Ughhh.. I am going to meet my friends. You can tell mom that she needs to wait more. I am doing what exactly she told me to do, to explore life and that's what I'm doing. Anyway, laters"

I heard her groan as I walk outside my office. I just shook my head about it. They just won't give up. It's not as if I'm now an old maid. I'm just twenty four anyway.

I was on the my car when my phone buzz and answered it as I started the engine.

"I'm on my way guys, okay? Relax!"

I heard a couple of shouting before I turned it off. Nothing has change with them. Still crazy as ever. I smiled reminicing the past as I maneuver the car.

"Wow!"

"Pie!!!!"

The three of them shouted as I walk towards their table. I blushed as I saw the other costumers stared at us. My friends are just scandalous but who cares? I miss them. Though we never fail to communicate on social media and calls. Seeing them in flesh is different.
