Ch. 58 "Story"

                                                                 Kylie POV

I sat there in utter shock, as Klaus told me the story he's been wanting to tell me, 

He told me how he knew my mother and how they fell in love in New Orleans how he was so madly in love with my mother, this kinda angered me, if he loved her so much why did he leave I was looking down at my hands, wait if him and my mother were... that means! I looked up at him, he was looking at me with concern wondering how I am gonna take this probably, 

"Wait, wait if.... if you were so in love with my mother why did you leave her?" I asked looking at him 

"Well back when I was with you're mother in New Orleans, it wasn't well looked upon a human seeing a unnatural undead supernatural being," Klaus said 

"Why?" I asked tilting my head, 

He chuckled 

"Things were different it was.... how do I put it?" He said putting a finger on his chin 

"It was disapproved upon the public," Klaus said 

"Why that wasn't up to them?" I said tilting my head 

"It was just the way it worked back then, but anyway we were out in the french quarter when we were ambushed," Klaus said 

"You're mother was no fragile thing she knew how to defend herself but amongst the confusion we got separated," Klaus said 

"I searched for her, weeks turned into months, months turned into years, I assumed she either didn't want to be found or the worst happened," Klaus said looking sad, 

"May I ask what happened to her?" Klaus said looking at me 

I gulped I looked down at my hands I felt my eyes glow, 

"It was my fault," I mumbled 

"Kylie?" Klaus said 

I felt the tears well up in my eyes, 

"I was so excited...." I mumbled 

"Excited?" Klaus mumbled 

"I was turning three, and we were going to the zoo to see the animals I didn't realize what happened until it was done...." I said as I looked down at the palms of my hands and closed them

"What happened?" Klaus asked 

"It was all my fault...." I mumbled 

"Kylie?" Klaus said 

"I'm the reason she's gone, I'm the reason he hunts me, and I'm the reason I'm always running," I said 

"Kylie what happened?" He said 

"I didn't mean for it to happen, but she fell.... down the stairs," I said 

"That day changed my life forever..."I said looking at my hands 

"The next full moon is when I transformed," I mumbled 

"Kylie.." Klaus said 

He sounded sad, 

"I don't expect you to understand, but it was an accident I didn't want anything like that to happen," i said 

next thing I know I was brought into a hug, 

because we were sitting my head was brought into his chest, I held onto his shirt as the water works spilled, 

"It's all my fault," I sobbed 

"Kylie that's enough," Klaus said as he petted my hair

"No one blames you for what's happened,it was an accident," He said 

"I still love you the same," He said my eyes we closed as I tried to steady my breathing, 

"Nothing will ever change that," He said 

                                     Klaus POV

I couldn't believe it how long has she been keeping this burden on her shoulders as I held her I could feel her shaking I can tell she's been keeping this in for a long time, 

I look down to she's fallen asleep, 

I pick her up bridal style, taking her to her room laying her down in the bed tucking her in, 

"Don't worry little wolf I'm here now," I said kissing her forehead
