Author's Notes: The image is of Glenda Jackson as Elizabeth I. She stars in my favorite adaptation of the Queen's life: Elizabeth R. I've put a video of my favorite episode from the miniseries in case any one is interested. This show is also Ranil's favorite, as we find out later on in the chapter! I don't have any Josie alerts for you guys this time! Ranil is too distracted to be talking to her... -evil laugh-

Anyway, enjoy!

---------------------

Ranil tossed under the thick warm comforter. It was soft, fluffy, and extremely warm. Her turned again and fluffed up a pillow under his head before drifting back to sleep.

Twenty minutes later, he was sprawled out on top of the bed, as if he were making snow angels in it. Ranil groaned loudly, scaring away sleep. He was so relaxed. It felt amazing having all the room in the world to-

All the room in the world? His bed was supposed to be the size of a coffin.

What the hell? He thought as he shot his eyes open. Then he sat up just as quickly, evaluating his environment. Okay, he was in a room, on a very large bed, with plush stark white comforters (which he seems to have tossed around in his sleep). But after noticing the many things he wouldn't ever be able to afford, Ranil remembered that he spent the night at Roman's house. He plopped back down and sighed, his back sinking into the incredibly soft mattress.

The ceiling was open, displaying the way the roof was arched and painted in a forest green. The trimming that lined where the ceiling and walls met was a dark wood and it matched the foot of his bed, so he could only guess (smartly conclude) that the bed frame was dark wood too. The floors matched and that's when he realized the Bousaid's had to be suckers for wood. Straight across from the bed was a golden dresser that leaned up against the maroon wall. All of the room walls were maroon and the color pallette seemed to be that of maroon, forest green, and dark wood.

Ranil stretched again and his joints popped gratefully. He ran a hand through his messy hair and smacked his lips lazily. Once he was ready to go see where everyone was, he rubbed his eyes while swinging his legs over the edge of the bed. Now that he wasn't buried under the covers, he was a bit colder and was seriously double thinking putting his feet on the cold wooden floor. Who would have wood floors and no rugs? He thought with a snort.

Finally he pushed himself off the bed and his feet landed on the floor, and he winced.

Then he took back his wince and shuddered in pleasure.

"HEATED FLOORSSSS! I'VE HIT THE JACKPOT!" Ranil squealed, spinning around with his arms out stretched. The floor was so warm it felt like someone held a heater down facing the wood for a few minutes. It felt so good Ranil dared to say he'd sleep on the floor if the bed wasn't there. It felt like holding a hot cup of coffee on a cold day, except your feet got to join in.

When the air hit his legs, that's when Ranil realized he was only wearing his plaid blue kameez shirt from the day before and his boxer brief. His face turned beet red even though there was no one to see him, and he jumped back into the bed looking around the room for his suitcase frantically. He finally spotted it. It was sitting on the red chaise to the left of his bed. He hopped back out of bed and walked over to it, quickly opening it up. Inside he grabbed a pair of his grey skinny sweatpants with the black pockets and a black wife beater. He also grabbed a new pair of underwear and his green shower gloves. Ever since he heard Josie's speech about how spiders hide in the core of plastic loofas, he just couldn't risk it. And besides, shower gloves are the best!

With the way this shindig looked, Ranil knew there had to be a bathroom in the bedroom. Roman's perfect rich life wouldn't be complete without an ensuite. He saw a white door across from where he was standing, on the right side of the bed. He walked swiftly to it and opened it up.
