Stevens POV
Where am I? Everything is muffled. Why can't I feel my shoulder? Why is everything dark?

All these questions stormed my head. Hadn't I just been with the gems? I don't remember how I got here. I was just sitting with them, we were all talking...and I asked Garnet about the future. Then I was suddenly here. Maybe, maybe if I just open my eyes, I'll see what's happening.

I can't. Are they already open? I'll try to ask.

I can't. I can't move my mouth! I can't talk, and I can barely hear, and my eyes won't move! What's happening?

I felt my body get thrown onto a bed, it was thin and I could feel bars underneath it, along with vibrations of wheels. Was I moving? And if I was, how was I moving?

I felt some hands touch my face. I wanted to slap them away but, I still couldn't move. I felt some cold plastic placed on my lips and around my nose. I felt myself slipping, like I was going to sleep. Maybe I'm just having a bad dream...
Yeah... it's all just a dream.....ill wake up and go to little homeworld tomorrow...yeah...everything is going to be fine...

Third Person POV

They rushed him to the hospital. All the gems, Connie, and Greg. Connie's mom took on his care. She put an oxygen mask on him and started to treat his wounds. He had bloodied the bed and gotten some tissue on it. He was losing blood fast, going in and out of consciousness.

"How did this happen?" She asked Connie trying to stay calm while her daughter cried her eyes out.

"W-we were battling some Gem. We don't know who she was! She just came and swung at the Gems. When s-she missed she went for Steven. I-i, I saw her hit him with some Homeworld weapon and he fell! I-i-i" Garnet came up behind her and rubbed her back. Connie was crying more, Garnet finished the story.

"It was a rejuvenator. It should have poofed him, but since he's half organic, I'm guessing it only took off his arm." She said.

Connie's mom finished up on Steven, putting the final wrap on his stump. His right arm was gone, taken off by the gem Spinel.

"We should go, he'll be out of it for a while." She led them out of the room and to the waiting room.

"I don't get it..." Garnet said under her breath.

"What?" Pearl asked, "Garnet, no one could have known...things happen to fate all the time..."

"No, I know that, it's just, why didn't he poof? I saw in the future that he poofs, why did he lose his arm?"

"What?" She asked.

"He's supposed to poof, I saw it...it was so clear...it was the only possible vision...why did he lose his arm?"

"Well, I guess for now we just have to work through this," Pearl said.

Amethyst wasn't talking much. She didn't know what to say. She was thinking a lot.

The gems went to the house, since Steven would be allowed to stay there in the next week. They wanted to make it easy for him to get around, and for him to be brought into the house. They also had to make room for the medical equipment. They also had to make it that he could make his way around the house, with railings and ways for him to reach things

Pearl started in his bedroom, moving the dresser to a far corner and the TV far against the wall. She took the clothes out of the dresser, placing them on top. She wasn't sure hed be able to reach the drawers, or would be allowed too. She also put a railing around the walls.

Garnet was starting in the living room. She took out the coffee table and put a railing next to the stairs. She put a new chair in the room, one specialized to be for a missing arm. This way he could put it on the cushion and maybe it would suppress any pain.
