What If...(STEVEN UNIVERSE)

PART EIGHT

Garnet walked into the temple and getting her bubble brought it out to the beach. She looked at the others who were guarding Steven.

She popped it. Soon it rose and glowed. Spinel took form, falling to the floor.

"Wh- what happened?" She said, picking herself up.

"Look, never mind that. We need you to help us with Steven." Garnet said.

"Why should I help?" She growled.

"Because you did this, and if you don't we- we- we'll shatter you, " she stuttered. Pearl put her hand over her mouth. Was Garnet serious?

"Fine, as long as you let me leave this planet afterward!" She said.

"fine"

"What's the plan?" Amethyst asked.

STEVENS POV
I saw the gems talking together, and made me wait. I wondered what they were talking about. Maybe a way to get me home? I hope...where ever home is...

"Steven, go over by the lighthouse, " Garnet said.

"Ok, " I walked over till she told me to stop. I stood there, confused. That's when I saw the pink gem, Spinel jump to me, angry?!

I ran, but she was fast. She caught up to me, I got ready for the hit. But, it never happened. I looked at her, and there was a pink tint all around me. I put my arm down, the pink tint going with it.

"It worked..." Pearl said, smiling.

"What worked?" I asked. I brush myself off.

"Steven, do you know how to use your powers?" Garnet asked.

I didn't know what she meant. I tilted my head. They understood I didn't know.

Before I knew it, the pink gem was attacking me again. I was ready again for the hit, but she was stopped by a shield? It was from my arm...

THIRD PERSON POV
Steven fell to the floor, only to be picked up by a force. His eyes wide, and glowing bright pink, his power was going through a cycle.

First a bubble, the bubble took different forms, his shield next, all his shapeshifting was after.  He was yelling. Almost in surprise, but mostly pain. His body was being forced to change, exhausting his organic half.

"Steven?!" Pearl was standing below him, waiting for his yells to be over.

Soon, they started to decrease, and his body lowered, weakly. He was in control of his floating power but soon passed out.

"Steven!" Garnet ran over to his side, and picked him up.

"Is he breathing?" Amethyst asked.

Garnet put her hand on his chest.

"Yeah, he's just tired, " she smiled, a tear rolling down her cheek.

They walked back to the house, lying Steven down in his bed.

"We should let him rest, and yes Pearl that means leaving the room," Garnet said, walking out.

Pearl was still sitting next to the bed, thinking about how close they were losing him...

"Everything will be so much better when you're back..."

She got up and left.

The rest of the day passed, then the night. About late morning Steven groaned, sitting up.

STEVEN POV

I sat up, confused. It was morning, and I could tell I had been asleep for a while.i don't really remember anything...all I remember is seeing garnet and then, nothing.

I went to stand up, perfectly.

I felt an arm, to my right...

I looked, I had my arm back! It, it was back!

I stood up, with no trouble. I put my hand on my pillow, it bubbled!

"YES!YESYESYESYES!" I chanted. I heard footsteps running up the stairs.

"Steven?!" Amethyst ran up to me.

I laughed, engulfing her in a hug. Pearl, Garnet and Connie joined. I heard them crying, I started I cry too. I hadn't realized how much I had missed everything, even if I don't remember what had happened.

I was back.

Sorry if the ending feels rushed...i sort of lost interest in the story, but I knew I needed to finish it. So I hope it was at least ok!
