This video is from Dark of the Moon, when Sideswipe and Ironhide killed all of those Decepticons. It's one of my favorite scenes!
Emma trembled from underneath her bed. The six-year old had accidentally dropped a glass, and her father was furious. He was so drunk that he wasn't able to grab her in time. She ran upstairs to her room, and hid under the bed. She could hear her father stagger up the stairs.
"Come here, you worthless scum!" He cried out drunkenly. "Let me pound a lesson into that stupid brain of yours!"
Emma only shook harder, and tried to hold back her sobs. It would be the end if he found her. Her father opened the door, and staggered into her room.
"Come here, girl! It will be far worse for you if you don't obey!"
Emma tried not to cry. She was terrified. It was quiet for a moment, and then she suddenly felt a rough hand grasp her ankle, and she was dragged out from under the bed.
"Found you!" He growled. "Now let's have some fun."
"No, father, please don't! I didn't mean to! It was an accident!" She screamed. But he didn't listen. He never did.
After an hour of beatings, he stood over her broken, bloody body.
"I want you out of here! Don't come back for three days! You hear me?!"
"Yes, father," Emma whispered, afraid. She screamed in pain as her father dragged her downstairs, and threw her out. She lay there in the cold for a few minutes, trying to find her strength. Then, she managed to drag herself to the barn, where she had stayed before. It was a ways from the house, and she knew she'd be safe there. Her mother, who had been a bit of a grease monkey, had spent a lot of time in there. When she died, Emma was only two years old. Her father hadn't been in there since, at least not to her knowledge. The abuse began not long after that. She never knew why he did it either. Emma took the small blanket she managed to smuggle from the house, and curled up in the hay. She was awakened to the sound of metal on metal screeching, and a noise that sounded like grunts and groaning. She slowly crawled out of her little nest, and gasped at what she saw. It was a huge metal person! She blinked. Hasn't she seen these on TV before? Weren't they aliens or something? She slowly appeared him. He appeared to be hurt. There were metal pieces hanging off of his legs, and blue stuff was dripping out of him. All of the sudden, the alien noticed her, and he immediately, pointed his gun at her, making her gasp and hide behind a bale of hay.
"Who are you?! Show yourself now, human!" He (at least, it sounded like a he) demanded.
Her head dropped. He sounded just like her father. Praying she would be wrong, she slowly stood up and revealed herself, wrapping her arms around herself, and not meeting his eyes, as she had been taught. His gun immediately dropped when he saw her clearly.
"A human sparkling!" He exclaimed. He relaxed against the wall, staring at her. She slowly looked up at him.
"Hi," she whispered. "My name is Emma."
The alien frowned. "Where are your creators? Shouldn't they be worried that you're out here all alone?"
Emma frowned. She doubted her father was ever worried about her.
"Mommy is in heaven, and father doesn't care about me." She tried to hold back her tears. After all, father said crying meant you were weak. She looked up at him again.
"W-what's your name?"
He gave her a pained smile. "My name is Sideswipe. I'm an Autobot." Then he frowned. "You aren't going to turn me in, are you?"
Emma shook her head vigorously.
"No! You're the only one that's being nice to me!"
Just then, he noticed she was injured as well.
"What happened to you, kiddo?"
Emma almost cried again.
"Father punished me because I accidentally dropped a glass."
"He hit you?! He hit a sparkling?!" Sideswipe practically roared. On Cybertron, the abuse of children was a thing of great disgrace, and some even got executed for it. Sideswipe's outburst had frightened Emma, and she hid behind the hay bale again. His expression softened.
"Hey, I'm not gonna hurt you kid. You're safe with me."
Emma smiled, and slowly came out again.
"Can you be my friend?" She asked him suddenly, looking down at her shoes. The Autobot regarded her for a moment, and then smiled.
"Maybe not all of you humans are backstabbing weasels. I would love to be friends with you!"
Emma cheered. Finally, someone thought she was worth spending time with. She ran up to him and hugged his leg as well as she could. Sideswipe smiled, and gently placed his servo over her. They talked for a while, and he fixed himself up, while she used the first-aid kit that was there. Soon, she went to sleep. As she slept, he regarded her carefully. He knew he couldn't stay here for more than a few days, but he couldn't leave her here either. Before the sun rose, he had a plan.
"Hey kiddo," he said to her. Emma was brushing her teeth in the small bathroom in the barn.
"Yes, Sides?" She replied. He had given her permission to call him by that nickname, as his full name was a little hard for her to pronounce.
"You know, in a few days, I have to leave here and try to find other Autobots."
"You're leaving me?!" Emma exclaimed, tears in her eyes.
"Hold on, kid, hold on. I was going to ask if you would come with me. I don't you to stay here with your no-good sire. It will be dangerous, as we are being hunted, but I promise to protect you with my life. What do you say kiddo?"
Emma jumped for joy. Now she could finally leave this place!
"Yes! A million times yes!"
Then she lunged and hugged his leg again.
"Thank you, Sides." She whispered into the metal.
"You're welcome, kiddo." Sideswipe smiled, stroking her hair.
"Now, you want to help me repair my paint job?"
I just randomly came up with this today, and decided to write it. Hope y'all enjoy!!
