Jakes pov
I hug Erika as we stand in her room
E- Jake?
J- yeah?
E- I don't think I can do it anymore
J- what do you mean?
E- I wait everyday for you to walk through my door to surprise me
J- I surprise you every time I come
E- but I want it to be for good not just a couple days
She pulls away from me
J- soon I will be here for good
E- but what happens if you get picked in the draft and then I won't ever see you
J- if I get drafted you're coming with me
E- that's not how it works
J- but it is
E- It's not, after I get out of university I need a job Jake
J- you won't need one though
E- I don't want to be the girl that has a football player as there's boyfriend and people think she's using him for money
J- you're not using me
E- but we know that not the world
J- Erika everything will be fine
E- how do you know?
J- because I do and if it's not fine I will find a way to make it fine
I say getting mad
E- still...
J- Erika it's almost over, we just have to get through the year and then we have summer
She stands there quietly and so do I. Soon I open my arms and she walks into them.
J- just trust me
I say with my lips against her forehead
Back in la
I unlock the door and push it open. I kinda missed it here, it just feels good to be back.
J- Noah?
I see his door open as I stand in the living room
N- Jake
He comes with a smile and hugs me
J- how was Christmas?
N- good, how was your?
J- pretty good
N- was your girlfriend happy to see you?
He sits on the couch
J- I guess
I put my bag down
J- I hate flying
I sit beside him
N- that's why I love being born and raised in sunny California
J- yeah and I was born in rainy Ohio
N- does it really rain a lot?
J- kinda mostly at night though
He turns on the tv and the news shows up
N- coach wants to start our new practices next Monday instead of this one do any boys who are still at home get a change to get back
J- makes sense
For the rest of the night we chill on the couch talking about our Christmas with family.
More than 3 months later
Co- boys the draft is in a couple days. I have a list of players that will be going because that's what they want but as for some of you, you guys just want to play collage.
He starts the list and I wait for my name to be called. It gets called near the end with a couple other guys. He talks to us about what's going on, how it's gunna work, what to wear and just stuff like that. My eyes scan each teammate sitting in the locker room and only them. I see them as a threat and they probably see me as one too. We could all steal each other's spots and we would never know. Every single person is this room are probably the best you'll ever see.
Later
I lay in bed talking to erika
J- *sighs* the draft is in a couple days
E- are you excited?
J- oh I'm excited but I know you aren't
E- oh yeah I'm probably the least excited but-
J- but what?
E- *smiles* let me finish, but I know that's what you want and how happy it'll make you so I'm on board with you
J- *smiles* wait really?
E- yeah and who knows it might be fun travelling America and seeing where we end up
J- I love you
E- I love you too
J- by the way how's school?
E- it's okay just trying to get used to second semester
J- it's hard eh?
E- yeah, waking up earlier is tiring
J- well what time do you go to bed at?
E- like one
J- that's your issue
E- there's not enough hours in the day for me to get everything done
J- I feel like there's too many
E- well that's you, you have like 3 classes I have 5
J- I have football too
E- for two hours
J- it could be more if no one listens

Thank god erika has excepted it. Other people can think whatever they want as long as we know what are story is then everything is going to be fine. People are gunna hate, stay rude stuff and be mean just become they can and some are jealous. It's something we have to get through and not let it bother us. I personal don't care what other people think but erika does so that gunna be hard
