Blue Moon (poem 24)

I lay on the cold wet grass,

looking up at the moon,

as I bathed in its light.

Tonight,

the moon was a pale blue.

I never thought that it was true.

But here I am,

staring at this pale blue moon.

I was soaked from head to toe,

but I didn't have a care in the world

as the moon glowed.

I was happy.

I will never forget this day,

where I saw the blue moon,

for this is a time to be cherished,

as the blue moon only happens every two years.
