Dark Matter (poem 26)

I am a black hole,

and so is she.

Dark Matter...

It separates us.

We are in a sea.

A sea of darkness.

I cannot reach her,

and she can't reach me.

This sea of darkness.

This Dark Matter.

It pulls us apart,

and we get further...

and further...

away from each other.

I struggle against this invisible force,

aching to let her know

how I feel about her.

But I can't get any closer,

even though I want to.

Because my heart doesn't want to be hurt.

It doesn't want to be shattered.

So I put a wall up.

A wall I call Dark Matter.
