Luke.
I hung the phone up hastily. My breathing was rapid and April gently tugged on my pant leg, probably a little freaked out. I crouch down to her level, noticing the horrified looks I received from guests. They just saw a twenty something year old cry on the phone with his daughter...they were probably wierded out.
"Daddy? When are we going home, and when is Fairy coming back?"
"Soon, baby, soon." I mumble, kissing her head and going back to out table to wait for out pancakes.

So here we are. Siting in the car, right in front of the house. Calum was just behind those walls and I was terrified. He blatantly lied to my face, who knows how many times? He made me believe my husband didn't love me, made me divorce him.
I fucking kissed him.
And he kissed me, right after he made his best friend try to kill himself.
Did he care? What is he trying to do? I didn't feel safe, especially with April here. I don't know what he's capable of. So I was avoiding it.
April and I were just sitting in the car, staring at the house. I needed to leave. I needed to get far away, from him, from everything. But I have to face him. I mean, where else could I go? And with what money?
I shakily turn off the ignition and take a deep breath. I get April out of her car seat and carry her up to the house. We stand at the front door for awhile.
She doesn't ask questions, I think she knows that somethings wrong and that she should just not say anything. She was so smart it scared me sometimes.
I place a hand on the door handle cautiously, turning it slowly. The door creaks as I push it open and I hold my breath.
I put April down and she takes my hand as we walk through the house. She said nothing, I didn't hear a sound except for our shoes moving across the old wood floors and my rapid breathing. I take April to the guest room, which is where she has been sleeping.
"Here princess, play with your toys while I go and talk to Calum, okay?" I tell her softly, walking into her room and waiting for her to respond. She walks over to her dolls and plops down on the floor.
"Okay daddy." she begins to play with them, not asking questions again. Thank God for that.
I softly close her door and walk to the master bedroom, where I figured Calum would be. The door was closed, I press my ear against the wood. I can hear crying softly from the other side, and the soft hum of music. I push it open slowly, the lights off, stereo playing and Calum's back to me, his shoulders shaking. Soft whimpers left his lips, I almost felt bad for him.
Almost.
"Calum?" I ask softly. His body stiffens and he quickly turns towards me, tear stained cheeks and puffy, red eyes.
"Luke?" he asks in disbelief. He sprints to me, engulfing me. I don't hug him back. He just stands there, holding me while I just want to push him off. He cries into my shoulder. "I'm s-so sorry Lukey. I didn't mean to, I just hate seeing you upset. I t-thought that if I flipped out over Michael that it would worry you even more. I hate it wen you cry...I just wanted to make you feel better. I'm so sorry, I don't know why I kissed you. I'm sorry."
I push him away from me, not in a rough annoyed way, a gentle way.
"Calum. What did you do?" I whisper. He looks at me, confused.
