She sat on the floor of her bedroom gazing away at her fluffy carpet. Nothing on her mind but how to get Katsuki to forgive her.

"Jeez, why is this so hard.." She groaned into her pillow.

She pulled out her phone from her pocket.

"I'll ask for advice about it" She mumbled to herself.

The phone rung no more than a few seconds, the recipient answering fast. "Hello? Y/n?"

"Hey Izuku, I know I haven't called you in a while, but I was hoping to get your opinion on something?"

"Oh! Opinion on what?" He seemed to be excited, more than usual of course. Maybe it was because its been a while since they spoke comfortably, she had been avoiding him for some time now.

"Um..okay so let's say you had a friend, and you did something really messed up to them, but you didn't exactly mean it. And let's say they don't want to forgive you, what would you do to prove that you want them back in your life? And to convince them to give you another chance?"

There was a bit of silence, she started to worry that she said too much, and she never should've called him. But his voice brushed away those anxious thoughts.

"Well, I would try using my words? And explain to them that I'm truly sorry for what I did. You know?"

Y/n inwardly sighed at his response, she was hoping to get something new, instead of "uSe yOur wORds". She didn't express her disappointment, but instead thanked him for the advice, whether it helped or not.

The two spent some time chatting and catching up, and she eventually ended the call to ask someone else.

"Fuyuko...I need advice"

"What's up love? If someone hurt you I swear to god I-"

"No no its nothing like that, its about the whole Katsuki situation. What would you do in my shoes?"

Fuyuko hummed while thinking of some ideas.

"What about...a gift? Like, something really meaningful that'll show how much you care?"

Y/n gasped as a wide grin grew on her face. "Of course! A gift would be perfect!" Fuyuko chuckled at her enthusiasm, and gave her a wish of good luck.

Y/n took out a piece of paper, writing Katsuki a letter to go with the gift. Which she already had an idea for. She excitedly formed the present together, just thinking about his reaction to it made her heart race.

She ran outside, eager to get to his place. With every step, she became even more excited.

"This'll be perfect, I know it.." She whispered to herself.

A bitter scent interrupted her train of thought. She tried to ignore it but it was overwhelming, dreadful even. And it was making her extremely dizzy.

She coughed, "..What is that..?".

She shook her head in perseverance and continued her path.

Her vision began to fog up, every step she took she risked falling over and collapsing, but no matter what she had to keep running.

"I'm almost there" She thought, his house just in sight.

But almost wasn't enough.

~~~
Her eyelids were heavy as she blinked in confusion. She was drenched in sweat, almost sticking to the chair she was sitting on. She groaned and moved to scratch her head, but the rope tied around her wrist prevented her from doing so.
Her eyes go wide at this, suddenly alert and awake. She scans the dark room she's in, trying to piece together what was going on.
"I...I passed out..trying to give the gift to Katsuki, so where am I?" She thought.
"Ah, I see you're awake, finally" A familiar voice spoke, a voice that sent shivers down her spine.
"The person from the other day" She noted.
What came as extremely strange to Y/n, was the mask on the strangers face. The exact same rabbit mask from the nightmare she had some time back.
"I warned you, didn't I?"
She gulped, swallowing her spit in an attempt to soothe her dry throat.
He was taking a walk when he noticed a small box on the sidewalk, with a note attached to it. He looked around, but no one was near, so he picked it up.
After examining the objects, he nosily opened the letter.
And it wrote, "Dear Katsuki, this is the umpteenth time I'm doing this, but its worth it. I'm apologizing yet again, I'm apologizing for being a bad friend. My feelings are all over the place and I just don't know how to feel right now. But I do know that I need you back in my life, even if it's step by step, so I hope you like this gift I made while thinking of you :) -With love, Y/n"
He had no reaction to this, or at least he didn't express it. His fingers delicately opened up the small box, his heart softening at seeing the contents inside.
A picture of the two at one of his birthdays, no one else but Y/n showed up, but at the time he was okay with that.  The somewhat torn tickets and photos from the amusement park. A plastic ring that he gave to her when they were little, he felt his face flush at the embarrassing memory.
It was mess, but he loved it. He couldn't help but smile.
So the question was, why was this precious gift on the ground?
He pulls out his phone to text her. No response. He clicks his tongue and continues his walk.
As the day passes by, still, no response from Y/n.
Hours pass, so he sends her a few more texts. By this point he gets worried, so he asks around if anyone has seen her. The hours turned to days, she hasn't shown up to school.
He runs a hand through his spiky locks as he sits on the couch and stares at his phone. The TV playing in the background.
"...16 year old girl has gone missing around early dawn three days ago. Reports say there were no witnesses, and not a trace of her left behind"
His face shoots up to the screen, "Old hag, turn the TV up!" He shouts, not looking away.
She yells something back but he doesn't bother to listen. After she turns it up he pays close attention.
"Her name is F/n L/n, a U.A student. Her family, friends, and lived ones are desperately looking for her, the police were on this case immediately. They've sent out a message saying that if anyone has seen her, to please let local aut-"
He switched it off. Panic racing through his body.
His mind raced, from him cursing at himself for not checking up on her, to him hoping that she was okay.
But the most protruding thought in his head was this: Someone screwed up, and he'll be damned if he doesn't make them pay.
