I dont know if I'll tag this as angst or a fluff..im hella confused atm...

《Xie Bi'an x Reader》

'The hunter is near me!'

'Keep him occupied while we decode.'

"Dont let him go near our decoders, cowboy!" The first officer, Jose, lastly yelled through the ear piece then focused on decoding their 4th cipher. Lucca already primed the first cipher near him and you were nowhere to be seen; must be working on another cipher.

Kevin is trying his best to contain the hunter for a longest time but Wuchang's umbrella clearly pisses him off due to its long range. "Too slow, twig"

"You obviously piss me off" Fan commented while following Kevin behind to capture him and blast him back to the manor. He quickly tried to hit him with the umbrella but Kevin dropped the pallet at his face in time, stunning him for a few seconds.

Kevin quickly sneaked off somewhere but ended up in a place where no pallets and other objects are present. Wuchang teleported himself not far from Kevin as Xie finally switched with Fan.

A wave of green easily caught Kevin's figure and it triggered Xie's hallucination skill. Due to panic, Kevin used his lasso in a very sloppy way and aimed to a spot he never intended to.

....

It reminded him of something so dreadful..

A memory that forced his breath out of his lungs that he suddenly struggled to breathe

A memory that he wanted to forget but it always hunts him to his sleep.

And the guilt from what happened back in the past only swallowed him even more that he

commited suicide

....

"Im done with the 2nd cipher! You almost done Lucca?" You yelled through the ear piece and finally dashed off to go near the exit gate. 'Yeah Im almost done. You two go to the nearby exits!'

"Copy" You grinned. You never felt so at peace decoding your cipher and it feels so good with no hunter disturbing your peace. You're obviously not an athletic type of player so you prefer decoding. As a fellow decoder, you were always the one to be sent back to the manor everytime a hunter discovered you first in a match and it obviously annoyed you. Jack and Mary doesnt even stop teasing you for being an easy prey.

The sacred hospital is almost a big map and you need to hurry to the nearby gate but only to stop when you heard voices nearby and someone suffocating.

Curiousity got the best of you, you decided to check it out and only to gasp when you saw Xie kneeling down on the floor with his hands clutching hardly on his neck while Kevin did his best to stop the said hunter "Xie!!" You yelled and ran near them and quickly removed the lasso from Xie's neck. Kevin quickly glanced at you and finally explained the current situation "I didnt mean to aim at his neck! I kind of panic and I--"

"I understand." You cut him off, politely pushing Kevin to the side and kneeled down in front of Xie's quivering form "Xie can you hear me?" You asked, hands gently shaking his shoulders to help him snap out of his trance. You even tried to snap your fingers right on his face but he only growled until fury finally filled in his eyes and quickly pushed you out of the way.

You winced in pain once your back hit an nearby object while Xie finally stood back up to his feet and grab his umbrella, also just in time for Lucca to finally prime the last cipher. The fiery red glow in Xie's eyes only highlighted his rage even more as he marched his way straight to Kevin's figure.

You quickly stood back up again and went in between the two boys with your hands spread out midair to block Xie's path. "Xie enough and calm down!!" You yelled, still blocking his way everytime he tries to sneak pass your small form. "Get out of my way!" He yelled and finally raised his hand to hit you out of the way again but his bell glowed in a hue of blue and Fan finally appeared.

Fan quickly stopped Xie from hitting your form and tries to prevent him to hurt you and Kevin even more. "Fan! Let me go!!"

"Enoigh with your childish tantrum and calm the fuck down!" Fan yelled, obviously annoyed and finally yanked the umbrella away from Xie's hands. You only watched Fan to calm his brother down bit by bit until Xie finally sat back down on the floor with both of his hands covering his face in despair.

"I'l handle it here. You can go with the others" you told the cowboy beside you. He seemed shocked and hesitant at first but he finally agreed and head to the nearby gate.

There's a limit for Fan to be out at the same time with his brother during matches so he had to get back. With a simple look from him, you already understood what he meant before finally going back inside the umbrella.

You slowly went near his figure and sat back down infront of him again then smiled "hey Xie..." you started, reaching out your hands and tried to gently remove his hands from his face. Suddenly being stubborn like a kid, he slapped your hands away that it stings for a bit.

You sighed and brought your hands back near his own and gently rub them with your thumbs "hey its ok. He didnt mean to attack you like that.." you explained, slowly grabbing his hand and pulled them down; A face filled with nothing but pain revealed in front of your face...

Yet you smiled at him and gently cupped both of his cheeks "...Im sorry" he finally said, leaning into your hand even more once he felt how calming your warmth was. You only smiled even more and gently rub your thumbs on his cheeks.

Your gentle touch simply calmed him even more and just placed his head down on your shoulder. You didnt bother to say anything and let him be, wrapping your arms around his vulnerable figure and pat his back.

No one dared to speak and just remained silent in your spots, both enjoying the peaceful silence while you still continue to rub his back like a mother calming their own child.

Also at the 'kiter to bring the hunter near a decoder' part surely pisses me off. I had no choice but to kite them instead 😤 it reminded me of one of my matches; they brought the hunter near me--

Well I can kite but not that good- still need a lot of practice
