一 》DOES NCT'S AGES IN THE AF CORRESPOND WITH THEIR CURRENT AGES IN REAL LIFE? ↷。 no, this apply fic is in school au so their ages will be altered to go according to the ages of high schoolers. the story starts at mid october, so mark will be made eighteen years old, renjun seventeen along with jeno, donghyuck, and jaemin, chenle's fifteen (sixteen the next month) with jisung. according to this you could correspond the ages of your characters.
二》 WHAT'S THE SCHOOL SYSTEM USED FOR THE STORY? ↷。 honestly, i'm not sure, for i have rather vague ideas of how schools work as i've been homeschooled for nearly my entire life. i'm basing it off what i see in animes, k-dramas, and those ephemeral experiences i had in school myself, so it'll be more asian styled (?). i have zero idea on how american schools work (in spite of being born there) so sorry not sorry. just ask anything concerning this and i'll answer to the best of my abilities ^^
三》WHEN AND HOW DID NCT DREAM CAME ALIVE AND DISSAPPEARED? ↷。 this is mainly up to you to come up with later in the form, but that night in the introduction was when they came alive and went out of the places they were kept (extra note! : all of the other slots brought their projects with them back home that night, only SUNSHINE MELODY left donghyuck in her cousin's room with jisung), but note that the girls will be given no signs of their whereabouts until a few days and they suddenly stumbled to their living artworks. that's up to you to make up ;)
四》 WERE NCT DREAM TRANFORMED INTO HUMAN FLESH OR STILL IN THEIR OBJECT-LIKE FORMS? ↷。 nct dream come alive in human form, size, and flesh, except for jeno who would still be in robot form, only a bit more human-like (you can suggest that he's a cyborg). but there will be some aspects of them which proves that they aren't fully human. mark and donghyuck, originally made out of clay, would have some crack marks on their skin if they're hit or injured (lowkey like in dr. stone lol). renjun and jisung are probably the most human-like, though they won't do well in water since they were drawn on paper/canvas, their skin is also as fragile as paper, and they have paint/pencil marks on some parts of their body. jaemin and chenle only have stitch marks on their body (they'll probably be like frankenstein, but that's a bit scary so maybe not?). excluding renjun and jisung, they're all completely pain tolerant (idk, i just feel like that wouldn't go the same with rensung :/). they're all pretty much semi-human and semi-art.
五》 WOULD NCT DREAM GO BACK TO THEIR ORIGINAL FORMS LIKE IN INKY PALM'S STORY? ↷。 before i answer, some of you probably don't understand or missed this in the introduction, but there i mentioned on how all enchanted artworks will return to their lifeless forms after ten years. welp, apparently, in the present time which applies for the dreamies, instead of in ten years, it'll be in ten weeks (because i'm evil >:) ) (random clarification: yes, INKY PALMS wrote that story out of her own imagination (my inspiration as the author actually, but shh—) )
六》 OTHER THAN THE SLOTS, ARE THERE OTHER PEOPLE WHO ALSO HAVE THEIR ARTWORKS COMING ALIVE? ↷。 yes, actually i was thinking about having forms which didn't made it to also have their artworks coming alive with other idols, so don't worry, your character still gets into the story although they may not be one of the mains. they could appear as a friend of the main, relative, enemy, or such!
七 》WHAT ARE SKIPPING STONES' FAMILY LIKE? ↷。 as SKIPPING STONES and SUNSHINE MELODY live under the same roof, i'm going to give a general idea of the family so the background and family sections for the two slots match. if however, you have a different idea, let me know through pm and we'll discuss it. since SKIPPING STONES' parents are the ones who withdrew her from her old school and they took in SUNSHINE MELODY, i imagine them to be your ideal cheery and caring parents, simple and loving for their children (including SUNSHINE MELODY). their jobs are nothing glamorous as they live the average middle class life, probably nothing more than school teachers, office workers or such, so they also have time to become close with their kids. as for any biological siblings of SKIPPING STONES, i think it'll be simpler for her to be an only child before SUNSHINE MELODY came around.
八》 WILL NCT DREAM ALSO ATTEND SCHOOL? ↷。 i thought about doing that, but once i think about it more i'd say no, they won't be attending school. merely because i don't find a realistic reason for them to be enrolled into one, especially when they'll probably disappear after ten weeks. but they will probably visit the school once in a while or so (?), i'll perhaps revise a part like that in the plot.
九》 WILL NCT DREAM KNOW THEIR NAMES? OR WILL THE GIRLS GIVE THEM THEIR NAMES? ↷。 the boys still have memories (what they remember will be a question answered later in the plot hehe), so they'll already know their names when they come alive. they'll also know how to live normally without needing to be guided and such.
