I woke up to the noise of an alarm clock, and my mother pounding on my door."Yah, Park (Y/N)! Wake up or you'll be late!!"
I groaned in frustration, sitting up in my bed. Rubbing my eyes, I turned to turn off my stupidly annoying alarm.
6:32, the clock read.
School, or what I liked to call prison, started at 8, so that gave me about an hour and a half to get ready and head out.
It was my senior year of high school. After this, I planned to move to Seoul to get away from everybody. The city wasn't that far away from where I lived, but it was far enough for me.
I had to keep reminding myself that it would eventually all be over in less then a year. Every moment I wasted there wouldn't matter in 10 years. Nothing did. None of the assignments, tests, quizzes...it would all come to an end in 10 months. Then I would finally be free from that hell hole and into the world, where I really belonged. Not in a desk, but running free is where I belonged.
I sat up and stretched out my arms before I stood to get ready.
After opening and searching through my closet, I finally found my dark blue and white uniform.
I changed into the uniform in less then five minutes. I wasn't one of those girls who spend an hour just getting ready. I mean, to me I don't really care about being pretty and don't give a shit about what others think about me.
After changing, I looked at myself in a mirror. I wasn't pretty. But I wasn't ugly, either.
I had dark, chestnut coloured hair (that my mom didn't approve of me dyeing, but I didn't care and proceeded to anyways.) that went to my shoulders with big, brown eyes. I was quite pale, but like I said, I didn't give a shit about what others thought about me.
The uniform, on the other hand, was a white shirt with a navy blue tie, and a navy blue skirt.
I hated skirts. Especially ones like these.
I mumbled a few curses under my breath before walking out of my room.

I closed the door to my house, wearing a black leather jacket over top of that crap uniform.
One of the many steps of the school day was actually getting there, and for me I had to walk every single day. Wonderful.
Wearing a school bag filled with books, I stepped off of my house porch and onto the sidewalk and began walking my normal route to the nearby high school.
It was a peaceful, sunny Monday morning. The first Monday of the school year.
But of course, the peacefulness didn't last for very long when I heard someone calling my name.
"Hey, Park (Y/N)! (Y/N), wait up!" a cheerful female voice called from behind me.
I sighed and turned my head around to see none other then Kim Dahyun, running towards me. She was supposedly a "friend".
When she finally caught up to me, she gave a bright smile and said:
"Hiya, (Y/N)!"
"Oh...uh, hi Dahyun.." I said back, awkwardly.
Dahyun was in most of my classes the previous year, and tried to talk to me multiple times. I never really said anything, but before I knew it, I was her "best friend". It confused me at first, considering that I have a crappy school reputation. Why would anyone want to be friends with me? I figured the poor girl just didn't have any other friends, but it turned out that she was pretty popular and had tones of them.
