I sat quietly as Dahyun and Jungkook socialized among themselves.

Instead of sitting inside like everybody else, the three of us decided to eat outside at a small table. It was sunny, unlike that morning.

I took a few bites out of my sandwich every once and a while, but the other two were talking like there was no tomorrow. I was glad that Dahyun was making new friends, but I wasn't so sure about Jungkook.

The kid seemed cheerful and all around Dahyun, but for some reason he seemed annoying around me. Perhaps he just hated me like everyone else did. I didn't care. I hated him too.

Jungkook was only a freshman, after all.

"Hey (Y/N), how come you're so quiet?" Dahyun exclaimed.

I slowly looked up at the two.

"Oh, sorry, I was just thinking." I said.

"About what?" Jungkook asked, curiously.

"Nothing that you'd care about." I muttered.

Dahyun gave me a cold look, before turning back to Jungkook. I'm assuming she was quite upset with me hating him and all.

It wasn't my fault that I didn't liked talking to people. Especially loser freshmans.

They went back to talking for another few minutes before Dahyun spoke up once again.

"(Y/N), can I talk to you for a second?" Dahyun asked suddenly, her eyes laid on me.

I exhaled a short, quick breath. I knew exactly what she wanted to talk about, but I was already frustrated enough that day. I simply nodded, before standing up from my seat.

"Don't you dare eat any of my food, you hear me?" I said coldly to Jungkook.

"Okay," he responded with a quick nod. "But as long as you guys be quick."

I glanced to Dahyun who had a sweet smile across her face.

"Don't worry Jungkookie, we won't take long~!" she exclaimed, ruffling Jungkook's hair.

Jungkookie? What the actual fuck..?

He smiled shyly, giggling quietly to himself as Dahyun turned to me. I was standing there, feeling somewhat awkward witnessing what was going on in front of me. I didn't realize how close they become only within an hour. It took me nearly a year to finally gain the confidence to start talking to Dahyun, meanwhile Jungkook made socializing look easy.

Just watching the two of them talk filled me with jealousy. I didn't know why. Maybe because Dahyun was so interested in Jungkook that she forgot about my whole damn existence. She's been my only friend for the past year, and seeing her suddenly forget about me makes me wanna punch that Jungkook.

I don't think I was being cold towards him. He was just annoying. I hated him.

"Okay (Y/N), let's go." Dahyun said, now leading me away from our table and behind a wall.

Once we were out of sight from Jungkook, she almost immediately started to lecture me for the second time that day.

"(Y/N), what the heck is your problem with Jungkook? You're being way too harsh on him!" Dahyun crossed her arms, looking at me with a worried look.

"I'm not being harsh on him. The kid is annoying and you know it." I responded.

"He's not annoying, (Y/N)! Just because he's a freshman doesn't mean that you can be so angry all the time!" Dahyun exclaimed.
