Chapter 1 - Zhang Li Hua

Your POV
As I was practicing with my mentor on feminine expressions,
my father came to our place which was in our backyard actually,
once he came near us it gave my mentor a surprise and spoke up

"Ah Master Zhang, it's a pleasant surprise to see you home so soon, how was your trip from Japan?" My mentor asked as she bowed at my father paying her respects making my father smile and bow back
"yes well, thank you for bringing that up I was actually looking for the twins and am glad I saw you two" He said as he then turned his glance onto me

"*Airen, where is your brother?" He asked me with a smile, I tilted my head giving off the unsure vibe "I am not quite sure papa, but I'm certain I saw him go to the training hall an hour ago" I told him, he tilted his head as well in reply to mine "Really? This early? I'm certain he usually goes there after lunch around this time" I gave him a nod in and signaled him that I still have a lesson going on, his eyes widened and apologized to my mentor

"My deepest apologies *Laoshi, if you would be so kind, I will excuse my daughter for todays lesson as I have very important matters to discuss with her" He calmly told my mentor in which she bowed telling us she understood "you can stay for a while if you want, there is food ready in the dining hall, that is if you want to eat," He told my mentor making her chuckle "thank you, master," She said going back in the mansion

My father turned to me after watching my mentor take off and told me "come, let's go see your brother" I nodded at him in reply as we started walking towards the training hall "hmm, father are we going to train today instead??" I asked him "you rarely dismiss me from my lady etiquette lessons" He looked at me and smiled

"Airen, we went over this remember? Your mother wanted you to grow a beautiful and elegant girl" I looked down at his words, he was right that's all mother wanted from me, yet at that age, I couldn't give it to her,
I sighed "yes father..I'm sorry," I said
earning a pat on the head from him "it's quite alright, I want you to grow up as an elegant woman, just like what your mother wanted okay?" I nodded again in reply

We made it to the training hall and oddly enough we aren't surprised that my brother is the only one in the hall fighting a wooden training doll
"brother, papa is here to see us" I said softly as my voice echoed through the training hall but I got no reply in return, as always he was in his own little world when it comes to training

I sighed at him and called out again and it was the same as the first time I called him no reply, I looked up at father and he gave me a nod signaling for me to do whatever I was going to do 'this is gonna be fun'

I jumped over from the entrance to my brother's side without him knowing and undoubtedly kicked him, surprisingly he flew to the side "Sister?! Aren't you banned from doing anything martial arts related?" He asked me with concern I laughed at his question "look who's come to see us today brother" I told him pointing at the entrance of the hall making my brother's eyes go wide

"FATHER, WHEN DID YOU COME BACK? AND SO SOON?" He asked with excitement running to him with his fist and my father with his fist out ready, basically, in this case, it's a father-son kind of thing making them both laugh "I just came back a few hours ago son, I was looking for both of you as we have important matters to discuss" Father said opening the entrance doors

"let's go inside the mansion, we'll discuss this in my office okay?" We both nodded at him as brother went ahead but father looked at me with cold eyes telling me I did something wrong but I ignored him as I went to follow brother, thankfully he followed and somehow took the lead leaving me behind and my brother next to my father, ah yes my father and brother have a very close relationship much to what I don't have, but I don't mind because my father knows what is best for me that's why he only talks to me when it is about family, school, private lessons...well you get the idea it's not that much anyways

We made it to my father's office which was on the first floor, in all honesty, his office is like a principal's office it is not very amusing
"Come now you two, we need to talk about this immediately," He said opening the doors to his office in which we *bowed before entering
and quickly took our seat which is behind father's desk "so father, what is this important discussion?" My brother asked in which I nodded agreeing to what he asked

"I know you both are fully aware of the Ootori family of Japan right?" He asked in his serious tone, a tone in which he uses for his workers "yes, one of Japan's highly successful medical and healthcare zaibatsu, they are known for their authenticity as well as having a private police team under the name 'The Black Onion Group', I personally think it's a very amusing name" I replied to him

My father smiled at my knowledge "why yes, I honestly find it amusing myself but putting that aside, the Ootori family is the one that requested my presence as they wanted to start a partnership with our company" He told us which gave both me and my brother a surprise "our company? But why? Are they still missing something on their part?" My brother asked a bit taken aback at our father's news

"Well it's not something they are missing, it is actually someone," My father said turning his seat facing the window "are they missing employees then father?" I asked making my father sigh in reply "if that where the case they would've figured out to partner with a company that is near to them don't you think Li Hua?" He said with a cold tone

My face grew pale as I heard him say my name, he only calls us by name when he is mad, annoyed and or stressed which is frankly not good emotions for my father, brother looked at me then at father as he was about to say something the expression on his face is troubled

"Father...could it be that they are looking for...a marriage contract?" I looked at my brother in surprise at his words 'm-..marriage?' I looked back at my father hoping my brother's words weren't the truth, but my father proved me wrong by turning around with slight amusement to my brother's words "yes, Li Wei is right" He said turning his chair back to face the both of us "well, then I'll be ready for whatever father, for the good of the company" My brother said with radiating confidence

Oddly enough my father chuckled "I'm sorry Li Wei, but it's not you who is going to be arranged in a marriage" I looked at father with wide eyes "please say it isn't so" I said with noticeable shock on my face

"Li Hua, my daughter, you are to marry the third and youngest son, Kyoya Ootori of the Ootori family"
