Chapter 4 - Meet Up Day

Kyoya's POV

I woke up to a new day and stretched as I looked at the clock only to see I woke up 7:30 in the morning 'strange, I would've thought I'd sleep in more due to yesterday's events' I thought as I checked the calendar for any agenda and I saw what today was I quickly got up and checked again in my book of schedules and to see that the calendar was right 'I must have missed that thought in two days' I thought as I sighed to myself heading towards the bathroom to get ready for today's events

Li Hua's POV

I woke up bright and early as we were scheduled to be in Japan today 'I hope everything goes well' I thought as I came out of the shower and got dressed and all I was looking, for now, was my fan when a knock came to my door "come in" I said calmly while rummaging my wardrobe "lady Li Hua your father and brother are waiting for you in the dining hall" My maid Jie-jie told me as she walked in "pardon my asking but, what are you looking for my lady?" She asked tilting her head

"Ah, it's my fan I can't find it," I said with a gloomy expression "and it was going to compliment my hanfu" I said looking at her, my gloomy expression not fading, she looked at me and by the looks of it she knows something "well you'll have to find it in the dining hall" She smiled as she opened the door wide and bowed "come my lady, let us fill our stomach's first," She said waiting for me to walk through the door, I sighed in reply and walked out the door heading to the dining room with her following

"Jie-jie are my suitcases ready?" I asked breaking the silence as we walked down the hall to the dining room, she smiled at me "yes my lady, we have placed your suitcases in the plane and is now waiting for you and your brother" She said in a calm voice "wait, you're not coming with us?" I said with slight sadness in my voice "oh no my lady, we will never be separated from you especially me since I've been with you ever since we were small" She said in a reassuring voice making me smile

"Yes that's true, you have been my maid for almost a while now" I slightly giggled as we made it to the dining hall "come my lady breakfast is served now," She said opening the door for me and to which I nodded and entered the room to see my brother and father talking to each other in a happy manner 'oh boy' I thought to myself

Kyoya's POV

I got out of the shower and got myself ready, picking out my clothes and grooming my hair when all of a sudden my phone was ringing I was debating on answering it or not because I have a strong feeling it's that idiot again and as I looked away from the mirror and checked my phone only to see that it indeed is him "Tamaki" I said in annoyance as I finished grooming my hair and took the call

"What is it now Tamaki?" I said with an obvious tone that I was annoyed "what's with that tone of yours Kyoya?! So mean it's early in the morning~" He whined making me roll my eyes "yes, I am glad you are aware that it's early in the morning and I would be more glad if you don't come over today" I said as I put on my shoes "why is that Kyoya? Is mommy dear hiding something from me?!" He whined once more, I sighed "Tamaki, I have somewhere to be right now, I'll keep in touch with you once it's over, then you can annoy me," I said as I stood up and put on my clothes waiting for Tamaki's reply

"I can't believe this! Mommy dear has to be with someone more important than me your husband!" He said apparently crying, I sighed once more "Tamaki, I will tell you about what will happen later so, for now, I'll end this call as I am in a hurry," I said ending the call before he could say anything else "I swear, it's like he calls me every morning," I said walking out the door to see a maid that was about to knock

"oh! I'm so sorry master Kyoya" She said startled, I waved telling her it's okay "Master Yoshio is in the dining room waiting for you now," She said bowing and I nodded "yes thank you" I replied as I made my way down the corridor to the dining room, opening the doors to see my family complete at the table I greeted "good morning everyone, my apologies if I'm late," I said as I approached the table and sat down next to my sister "you aren't late Kyoya, don't worry," My sister said smiling at me and I nodded in reply

"You all are aware the Zhang family will be arriving today right?" Father asked us as we ate and listened to him "yes father" I replied taking a piece of bread "good, the party will start by sunset after they arrive, I expect you all to not make a fool of the Ootori name as we are there" He said with a cold tone as we nodded in reply to his words "yes father" We said "Oh my, my Kyoya, getting engaged at this age, I'm so proud of you" Mother told me as she smiled at me across the table I smiled in reply 'I hope father is as well' I thought as we all continued eating

Li Hua's POV

"Father, you are dressed," I said as I approached the table glancing at my brother time to time to see if he has my fan, unfortunately, there is no sign that he does, I sighed as I reached my chair and took my seat "Airen, I'm surprised you noticed," He said and chuckled as he ate his food, I gave him a confused look

As if to tell him I know he's coming with us "of course father your hair is glowing today and also you tied it back a bit" I told him what I observed making him laugh "you really are your mother's daughter, aren't you?" he said as he calmed down from laughing and sat down properly "but yes, I forgot to mention that the Ootori family has planned a small party as a welcome to our arrival in Japan and a welcome to the newly engaged" he said taking a sip from his drink I looked at him while eating my breakfast "who are invited to that party?" I asked still eating

He looked at me and spoke up "if I recall correctly, they invited a few people that ran their branches in different parts of Japan and companies that partnered with them already" I sighed at what he told me "they really wanna show the world don't they?" I said looking at the cup in my hand and drank the liquid inside "but of course Li Hua, after all, it's rare that two companies who are far different from the other get together, especially through an engagement" my brother said with a proud tone in his voice "my sister is now engaged, I am overwhelmed" he said faking tears as I rolled my eyes at him "whatever you say Li Wei" I said eating again

"By the way you two" my father started "don't you think I look even better with a fan at the event?" he said with a noticeable teasing tone, I looked up to see that it was my fan "father? you where the one who took it?!" I said my face glooming slightly as he laughed at me "well, it was your brother who found it on your bedroom floor and gave it to me as to tease you" he said closing my fan and handing it to me, I took it and immediately glanced at Li Wei "what were you doing in my room anyway?" I said opening my fan and hiding my mouth, a habit I had developed when I talk coldly to others "relax Li Hua, I was just about to wake you up but decided to tease you instead" he said smiling widely "you do realize I rummaged through my closet basically making quite a mess" I said annoyed as he laughed in reply to my annoyed face, I sighed in the end and put my fan down in my lap
