chapter 14 - Haruhi's Place(2)

"You'll only get a 3 second peek okay? And then leave" Haruhi said looking at us in complete uncertainty "oh well, then I guess you wouldn't want to have some of the sweets me and Honey senpai bought?" I asked as she stopped and looked at me and senpai holding boxes "I especially bought these back from china! They go great with tea and-" I was cut off with Haruhi opening the door "fine I guess I'll make some tea" She said as I smiled "good job you two" Tamaki whispered at me and senpai

The door opened and we where greeted with a very calming room making Tamaki sigh "what a hovel" Hikaru bluntly said making Tamaki mad "shut up!" He said "a wood-built two bedroom unit, well that's normal for a commoner family of two" Kyoya said looking around

"Haruhi's such a pipsqueak!" Kaoru said as they all started speaking their minds about Haruhi's home "please, be nice!" I said scolding them "really, you don't have to struggle out a compliment senpai" Haruhi said sighing in annoyance and walking in

"Wait, are we supposed to take our shoes off too?" Honey senpai asked Haruhi as she nodded "if you don't mind" She said as Honey senpai happily obliged "do you have any slippers for us Haruhi?" Hikaru asked "wait the room is filled with Tatami mats!" Kaoru said taking off his shoes "oh so we don't need them" Hikaru finalized as he followed his brother's lead

"Thanks for inviting us in!" The boys said walking in as I sighed and slipped off my shoes last "sorry for the trouble Haruhi, they just wanted to see what your place would look like" I said placing my hand on her shoulder as reassurance as she looked at me and smiled "oh no, it's fine senpai, really, I'm just wondering how you all will go with this" She said as the boys made a ruckus in her living room "talk about small!" Hikaru exclaimed "uh...I'm sure they'll get used to it in a littl-" I was cut off as we stared at Tamaki and the others sitting like they were in gym class

Haruhi huffed in annoyance "please go ahead and sit down senpai" She said looking away "I'll go make some tea you guys" She said holding back her anger as I walked in the living room putting my umbrella aside and sat on my knees as Haruhi made tea "w-wait Haruhi! It's fine! We don't need any tea a glass of water is okay!" Kaoru said with guilt as me, Liu, Kyoya and the senpai's just looked at them "it's already done" She said as she offered us the tea

"Mm, smells good, perfect for my mooncakes" I said opening the box of mini cakes I mentioned about "you guys should try it! It symbolizes completeness, like the full moon" I said as I took one and ate it in glee

"I never knew Lia senpai would be fond of sweets too" Haruhi said picking one of Honey senpai's sweets "it's an enemy I cannot fight back" I said proudly as I handed out the mini sweets to the others while Haruhi and the two senpais where finishing up with theirs "hey come to think of it isn't it almost lunch time?" Hikaru asked

"so what's for lunch?" The happy-go-lucky trio asked Haruhi making her feel uneasy at their attitude "we'll pay for it, we did drop by unexpectedly" Kyoya said standing up as he pulled out a credit card that had all the club's funds "no thanks senpai I know I'll regret that later" Haruhi said in fear

"Oh no, that's quite alright Haruhi" I said smiling at her "indeed, we'll use the profit from the photos of you we auctioned off" Kyoya  told her making me glare at him slightly as Haruhi's face drowned of color "L-Lia senpai... Kyoya senpai's being a tax collector again" Haruhi said making me laugh

"Kyoya stop teasing her already" I said as he smiled at me and sat down "but we will pay for it, so do you know any good sushi places Haruhi?" I asked her smiling as she thought for a moment and suggested a sushi shop her friend owns "that sounds wonderful" I replied seeing her walk away to her house phone but was stopped by Tamaki handing her a piece of paper in a weird way
