Chapter 2- Kyoya Ootori

(*note: Haruhi hasn't been enrolled in Ouran yet this is just a few months before she was enrolled)

Kyoya's POV
"All these bills,I really do wish Honey-senpai thinks of the amount of money we owe the school due to all his cakes" sighing I type away at my laptop to keep track of what the host club needs to lessen and needs to add in the next event we're about to hold when someone knocked at my door

"Kyoya? You have a minute?" My sister's voice is heard through my door surprising me a bit
"....sister? Why are you here?"
I replied as I stood up to the door and opened it "well, Father called me on the phone, he told me there was something the whole family needs to know about" She said holding my hand "why not take it easy, forget about your work for now and let's go to the family room together?" I sighed and nodded as we walked down the hall leading to the room where my family is we knocked on the door and entered

"Hello, father.." I said taking a seat that was in front of my brothers with sister beside me "sister said you wanted to discuss something of the utmost importance?" I again spoke
"Silence boy" He coldly said and I just nodded in reply to his words

"Kyoya, I assume you know the whereabouts of the current Zhang family " He asked me not removing the icy cold attitude, I nodded and began telling him all that I knew
"The current family's heir is Zhang Huan, the husband of Yuan Mehui, even if his wife has deceased he is still using the company's name
'Yuan Corp.' In memory of his loving wife, he and his wife are said to have the blood of the former emperors in mainland china which means.."
I trailed off my sentence

"they are late descendants of those emperors?" My sister connected to which I nodded my head in response "yes, that's enough Kyoya" My father said and continued to talk "the Zhang family indeed are descendants of that long lifetime, but that is not why I called you all here" He paused to look at the papers in his hands
"I have successfully gained a partnership with them" He finished

We were all surprised, the eldest among us spoke up "I respect your decisions for this company but father, why in China? What are we to gain from a traditional manufacturing company like them when we are already more advanced than them?" Yuichi said in a bit of shock 'he's not wrong there' I thought to myself as he seated himself back down to listen to our father's reply

"Simple, I was thinking of expanding our company's service throughout Asia, as we already gained friendship with the Suoh family I think it's time our company went outside of the friendly zone in Japan," He said putting his papers down "and of course, I was able to look into the Zhang family more, as you can see he raised his children with the intelligence for traditional medicine, modern medicine, martial arts, and business management" He trailed off a bit and turns to look at me 'I think I know where this is going....' I thought worriedly as I know my father well

"I thought it was time for Kyoya to have an arranged marriage," He said as he looked at the papers on the table once again, my sister noticed them and spoke up "then..those papers must be..." She trailed off looking at me uncertain with the idea "you are correct Fuyumi, these papers are actually part of Kyoya's marriage contract" My father said as he was giving me the papers

"Father, don't you think this is too much for his age? You arranged my marriage when I finished college after all?" Sister asked my father "silence Fuyumi!" He shouted making my sister go pale "I called you here because I wanted you to teach him how these marriage contracts work" He said adjusting his glasses but spoke to my sister once again 
"I CLEARLY DID NOT CALL YOU JUST FOR YOU TO CAUSE A RUCKUS IN THE OOTORI HOUSEHOLD!" He shouted again, my sister sitting down looking scared cause of father

"Father!... I have made up my mind!" I said unexpectedly 'well not like I have a choice anyway, what's planned is going to have to go as it is' I thought to myself as I sighed "I will gladly sign the contract for the marriage"
My father smiled at my remark,

"Kyoya Ootori, you are to marry for the sake of the Ootori company, your future wife is obliged to say yes as for the great or good of their company also
Zhang Li Hua, only daughter
of the Zhang family"
