Chapter 22

A few months later

School was out in another week. Ella had some exams to take soon so she was constantly studying.

"Ella, someone's here to see you." Ashton said.

Ella nodded and closed her textbook, making her way out of her room. Lily was standing there with a huge smile on her face.

"Hi cutie."

Ella ran into Lily's arms and hugged her tight.

"Hi babe. I've missed you." Ella said.

Lily laughed. "I saw you two days ago."

"I know."

Ella and Lily went to Ella room where they cuddled on the bed and watched some Netflix before Ella continued to study again.

"Babe, you've been studying nonstop." Lily said.

"I know. I need to get a good grade on these exams."

Lily shook her head. "You need a break. Why don't we go do something more fun."

"Just let me finish this."

Lily closed Ella text book and moved it off the bed.

"No, your need a break. Come on."

Ella sighed but nodded. Lily pecked her lips and both girls made their way out of the room.

"I'm gonna take Ella to the coffee shop." Lily told Ashton.

He nodded. "Be safe you two. Love you El."

"Love you too."

Both girls made their way out to Lily's car. Lily had recently got her license.

"When are you going to get a license?" Lily asked Ella.

Ella shrugged. "Probably when school is done with. I think Ash is going to take me."

Ella had her permit and practiced a lot with Ashton and Luke but she worried about the test. She heard some don't get it on the first try. The thought gave her anxiety.

The drive to the coffee shop was short and Lily parked before both girls walked in holding hands.

"I'll order for us. You find a table." Lily said.

Ella nodded and found a table by the window. The shop was kind of small but it was cute. Decorated with Polaroid pictures and fairy lights. There was also a neon pink sign that said Coffee. Ella scrolled through her phone until Lily came back.

She had two ice coffees and a lemon pound cake to share between them. The thought of the calories in the cake scared Ella but she tried to ignore it. She wanted to enjoy her time with her girlfriend.

Both girls ate and sipped their coffees as they chatted. When they were done, Lily drove them to the park where they made their way to the creek with a bridge.

"This is so pretty." Ella said.

"But not as pretty as you."

Ella smiled and both girls kissed. This is what love was.

After hanging out for awhile. Lily dropped Ella off at her apartment.

"I love you baby. See you tomorrow."

Lily leaned over and kissed Ella.

"Love you too Babe."

Ella made her way into the apartment and was greeted by Petunia and Penny. She hung out on the couch and watched TV until dinner was ready. After eating she showered and painted her nails. She braided her hair and laid down in bed to text Lily.

Night Lil's, sleep tight😴❤️

Lily texted back.

Night baby. Sleep well too❤️❤️

Ella smiled and then turned over and fell asleep.

The next morning, Ella woke up and got ready for school. After being dropped off. Ella made her way into school. Lily met Ella at her locker and both girls walked to first period together.

Fourth period was one where Ella didn't have a class with Lily. She sat in  the back of the class alone. Ella got kind of bored in class so she asked to go to the bathroom.

Ella walked down the hall and into the girls bathroom. The sight she saw when she walked in, made her step back.

Lily was leaned against the sink kissing another girl. Ella heart dropped. She must have made a noise because Lily and the girl broke the kiss.

Lily had a shocked look on her face. "Ella, I can explain."

Ella shook her head. "Don't."

She walked out and made her way down the other hallway to the other girls room. She went to the last stall and locked it. Sinking to the floor.

She thought everything was becoming perfect but she was wrong.
