Your POV
I was to meet up with Tori and Andre at the food truck after the fourth period. They were both waiting for their orders when I arrived at the Asphalt cafe. I put on my biggest smile before I walked over and swung both of my arms around their shoulders.
"What's shakin', bacon," I asked jokingly.
"Oh, they don't have bacon." Tori retorted
"Just burritos," Festus shouted unnecessarily. I raised my eyebrow at him but didn’t say anything as I began walking where Jade and Beck were sitting. I was planning on skipping lunch, like most days. I just always lose my appetite after going through hours of school work and learning new things that bore the heck out of me.
"You're not getting anything?" Andre urged as he pointed towards the truck.
"Nope, not hungry."
"Are you sure? During Sikowitz's class, you told us that you were starving since you skipped breakfast," Tori argued.
"Trust me, I'm fine," I smiled wholeheartedly, finding it nice that I had friends who actually cared. They shook their heads at me and turned their attention back to Festus who had their plastic containers of food in his hands.
"Not eating again, Y/N?" Beck asked, looking me up and down, seeing that I was empty-handed. I nodded at him and waved slightly at Jade who was shoving her salad around with her fork.
I sat down, swinging my bag to the side. I took out some extra work that I had left from my earlier classes when I noticed a packet of papers that Beck had in his hands. A script?
"Ooh, script pages," Tori budged in, taking the packet from Beck's hands.
"Not for you," he said, taking them back.
"You auditioning for a play?"
"Sort of. It's a movie. It's called Misfire. It's about this woman cop who gets fired and then goes on a crazy rampage."
"That's so cool" I hummed in agreement.
"Who plays the woman cop?" Andre asked.
"Melinda Murray." The table exploded with gasps and 'whoas'.
"So where's the script. I wanna read it." Tori whined.
"Well, you don't get the whole script unless you get the part. They only give you a few pages to audition with." At this point, I blurred everything out. I needed to finish this work before school ended, mainly because Sikowitz is a bit...strange, so I can't get much work done in his house.
I worked for a solid 20 minutes before I felt someone nudge me on the shoulder. I turned to my right to see Beck with his phone in hand.
"Do you think you could help me with some homework for Gradstein's class." He begged, slightly pushing out his bottom lip. I smiled and ruffled his fluffy hair.
"Sure, you can ask for help anytime," I assured.
"And... do you think I can have your number? I have everyone else’s except yours." He held out his phone to me. I took it willingly and typed in my phone number. I gave his phone back and he scurried back to his usual spot next to Jade. As much as I miss him sitting near me, I found it strange that the oh so confident Beck acted the way he did.
Soon the bell rang and everyone went to their designated classes.
Time Skip~ Next Day
I was getting my books from my locker as Andre stood around, making commentary every now and then about my naked locker.
"You really need to decorate this thing" He uttered for the sixth time.
