"So why were you late?" I asked as we walked out of the theater room together. Hosuh didn't meet my gaze at first, but eventually his gaze was cast over to me and he grabbed ahold of my hand. "I forgot. Well, there's more than just forgetting." Hosuh admitted. I was a little taken aback to see that he was so easy to admit the truth, but I kind of liked it. I held his hand back as we walked out of the theater. "I was doing a favor for Dan, and I was going to go on a date with this girl for him as a favor, and on our way over to the diner I kinda- remembered. And so I told him and neither of us knew what to do. I ditched the date all together."

He admitted. I was going to chew him out for it, but he seemed really uncomfortable.. so, instead I grabbed his chin and smudged a kiss onto his cheek with a soft smile. "It's nice to know I'm wanted." I joked, but he was quick to deny. "No! It's not like that with the date, I don't even like girls- I" but I was laughing and his mouth fell quiet. I looked at him and he was speechless, and I couldn't help but laugh even louder. I don't know why, but I couldn't help it.

He eventually pulled me into a close hug, and I heard him whisper into my ear: "I love the way your nose wrinkles when you laugh." And I couldn't help but smile at the sweet comment as we made our way back to my house, probably for another movie. Or, maybe cuddling. And a sleepover..

"I like you." Hosuh noted as he pulled away from me. Snow was falling around us and lanterns were shining down the street. There was music coming from some late night clubs around the area, and despite all the stores being closed there was Christmas lights on inside of the buildings. "I like you too." I whispered, and we both smiled sweetly at each other.

We joked on the way home, gently punching one another and play fighting, throwing insults around and me motioning for him to kick his sneakers off by the door when we got into my house. Dad wasn't in the Livingroom as he normally was, but I didn't care too much. We were laughing as we climbed up the stairs, holding onto one another as we continued to joke. My legs were tired, and I flopped on the bed.

I felt his weight next to me as I heard him shuffle off his leather jacket to the floor before pulling me close to his chest. It felt so nice, and warm. It was an amazing feeling, and I couldn't help but feel happy. Who wouldn't? My heart was at stand still as I shut my eyes and felt his lips peppering my face in warm kisses.

"You're so warm." He whispered and I smiled gently. Christmas was one of my favorite holidays, but after my mom had died it never really happened to feel like Christmas anymore, and yet here we were. Snow was falling outside and it was December. And for once, it actually felt like Christmas.

The weekend came quickly. It was Saturday night, and we were driving in my dad's van. I was the one driving it, because if it got dented I would be the one to blame. Hosuh was playing some weird rap music on the radio which I didn't care too much for.. but I didn't bother him about it. We were on our way to the gas station to refill the tank, and probably to grab some snacks.

We would've gone to see Ann, but she probably wouldn't be there Hosuh told me. Seeing as she usually only worked the day time hours because.. well creeps came out at night. "Like you." I replied, as Hosuh whipped his head to look at me, putting a hand over his chest as though he was offended. I just chuckled and smiled at his reaction, keeping my eyes on the road as we pulled up to some petrol gas station. It.. gave me the creeps, but Hosuh got out of the van and went inside to go pay for the gas while I stood at the pump.

I looked around, noting how this.. gas station was on the side of the road. And where the road was basically empty and this place just seemed off. I glanced over at the huge glowing sign that was supposed to promote where the gas station's location was. It was dim, and flickering just very slightly, off of it's stuck hinges and it looked like it was going to fall. It hung there, sadly. It gave me the shivers, and suddenly a loud beep rang from behind.

Honestly, I was expecting there to be.. oh I don't know, a monster? But it was just the gas pump. It had flickering lights and I clicked on the middle gas leaver, taking the tool from it's box and pumping up the car with the liquid. It smelt bad and I looked over to the window of the petrol station.. There were to figures talking at the desk. Probably Hosuh and the person who worked there. I turned my attention back to the car, mentally cursing Hosuh out because I would not  like to die tonight by going into that gas station. Thanks Hosuh.

A few moments later he came out with some soft drinks and some chips, snacks.. I think I saw him eating gummy worms too? He opened up my side of the car and threw them onto the dashboard, and instead of going around the van to get into his seat he started to climb over my seat. I.. was going to cuss him out, but I just couldn't care less tonight. Eventually I stopped pumping the van and closed the hatch back down on the side, crawling back into my side of the van, shutting the door and buckling myself in.

I turned the key and drove away while Hosuh turned on the music, singing along with it. I wasn't a fan of rap, but it was fun to count how many times Hosuh would mess up while trying to sing the stupid lyrics of the song. He seemed to be having a good time though, and it made me happy to see that he was so giddy and bubbly about it. I hummed a soft tune along with him and eventually, we found ourselves at a far away hill that we parked at the bottom of.

I was the first to get out of the van and walk over to the back of it, opening up it's doors and taking out the supplies I needed for our little adventure. It involved a telescope which neither of us knew how to use, a blanket, and a basket to hold our snacks and sodas in.

He walked around and took the telescope out of my hand because it was heavy, trying to take the other shit too, but I was quick to tug the telescope away from him. "It's not even that heavy." I said, even though it was pretty heavy. And I left the snacks and blanket for him to carry. I started to walk away from the parking spot, but turned around to look him in the eye. "And I'm not weak, either." I finished up, hoping that would get my point across without it sounding like an arrow going right through his chest.

I started walking up the hill, hearing the van close from behind. I didn't think anything of it, and eventually I heard foot steps trudging up behind me and I felt grass and reeds tickle the exposed skin just beneath my jeans before the rest of my leg left into my sneaker. It bothered me, the overgrown hill top decorations feeling just at my exposed ankle and up, but it's not like I could do anything. Snow also got into my shoe which was a bitch to deal with, feeling my socks get all cold and soggy and the soft slush of the ground whenever I trudged through the area with Hosuh trailing just behind me.

It took awhile to reach the peak of the hill, but I could hear Hosuh's breath catch as I tugged the blanket away from his shoulder, which he had draped it over, and I threw it to the ground. It wasn't all nice and flat but I didn't care if some of the parts were lumpy or still folded over. It would do. I took the telescope out of it's bag and threw that beside the blanket which Hosuh was now kneeling on, and I started to attempt to set it up. "Do you need help?" He asked, which I gave the instant reply of: "I got this. Just, enjoy yourself. Or whatever." I replied, a little frustrated.

For some reason, I felt like I was looking through Hosuh's eyes.. but I wasn't. I was looking at a stupid telescope which wouldn't fit together so we could look at the stars up close. Glistening gems in the sky which sparkled beautifully, as though they had a meaning. I don't know, maybe they did have a meaning. Maybe they were little hellos from other planets looking down at our planet in an attempt of contact, or maybe they were there to mean something else. Or maybe I'm just dumb and trying to make sense of this useless dirt ball.

I looked over at Hosuh, and he wasn't looking at me. He had his arms stretched out behind him, but his hands against the ground as though they were latches to hold up his body. His head was turned away from me, and instead of seeing a familiar pony tail on the back of his scalp I saw that he let his hair down and in one of his hands his fingers was wrapped around a hair tie. He was looking over at the Oakwood Clodth park where, I remembered hanging out with Jay when we were little. I stared at it, seeing a large glowing object off in the distance, which was a really big tree about 20 or even more times my size. They always hung up this huge pretty tree around Christmas with huge sphere ornaments, like.. the size of my face.

Hosuh turned to look at me and I blushed, sticking my tongue out at him angrily and turning my attention back to my little project. "Staring at me again, I see." I purred from behind, shuffling around and grabbing me by the waist after a moment, and pulling me down with him. I didn't fight back, and he held me in my arms for a bit. We spoke in hushed whispers to one another, and eventually he kissed me on the mouth. I was immediately melted into the kiss, smiling and giggling everywhere as he pulled away. "I can't kiss you if you're smiling.." He whispered sweetly, but I could only laugh and brush the hair out of his face as I rested one of my hands on his cheek, and one of them on his shoulder.

"I can't help it, I'm sorry.." I whispered, but it quickly gave away into more laughing. And I couldn't. I couldn't help but smile, enjoying the fact that I was beneath the stars with a guy I liked. And he was kissing me! Grabbing my shoulders and being so sweet, attempting to kiss me while both of us were laughing and smiling. My face was probably as red as a beet! But he seemed happy with it, and that's all I could ask for.

I was happy too, but we laid there beneath the stars, holding hands while I laid my head on his chest, smiling as he told me a story. I wasn't paying too much attention to it, but he didn't seem to care.
