Chapter 25

Lisa POV

Jennie was still sleeping when i woke up , she must be so tired.last night we had a little fight because i told her that i'll sleep on the couch but she vehemently opposed and asked me to sleep with her which i refused , and end up we fought.but since we both was too tired last night , i give in and we both sleep together in my room.i know it shouldn't lead us into a fight but i was emotionally unstable and it really made me easy to get pissed even over a small things

i take a shower and wear my clothes before i went to the kitchen.my mom was cooking for our breakfast that made me smile at the sight.it's been a really long time since my mom have cook for me

"Good morning mom" i said with a smile and sat on the chair

"Good morning dear , where's jennie?" She asked as she placed the plate on the table "she's still sleeping.she seem tired so i don't bother to wake her up" i said and take a sip of my coffee

"can i ask you something?" I glance at my mom who was sitting in front of me.i put down my cup and cleared my throat

"What is it mom?" I asked but i frowned when all of sudden her lips formed a smile

"Did you both dating?" The question made me to turned my gaze to the table as i let out a bitter smile

"we're friends.." i said , sadness laced in my voice

"I like her already lisa , she looks like a kind girl.i won't mind if she would be my daughter in law" my mom teased made me to roll my eyes playfully.i twirl my spoon on my plate , and let out a sigh

"I do love her mom..but she doesn't feel the same" my mom face softened when she heard it

"Did she tell you that?" She asked but i shook my head

"No.."

"Then how do you know she doesn't feel the same?" She frowned.i open my mouth and my jaw clenched instantly when the image of jennie kissing with kai appeared in my head

"I saw she kissed with a guy.." i muttered , released a deep sigh as i close my eyes for a while , trying to remove the image of jennie with kai away from my head.my mom look at me for a seconds and just nodded

"Now i know why she's here" she said causing me to look at her confusely

"What do you mean?"

"She love you lisa..i can see it through her eyes , the way she look at you...I'm not trying to take her side but people can change dear" i rub my face in frustration.i'm not ready to have this kind of conversation with my mom , but she brought it up

"You don't understand mom" i sigh

"Just tried give her a chance and prove herself to you.she won't come here just because she want to 'see' you only.hear her out , and then you can decide what to do next" she said.i just give her a small smile without saying anything as i don't want to make this coversation longer.i continue eating my food but suddenly jennie walk inside the kitchen

"Good morning mom" she said with a raspy voice

"Good morning dear , let's eat with us" my mom hold her hand and bring her to sit beside me.i just munch my food but at the corner of my eyes , i could see that she was staring at me.i tried to ignore it but since her stare that wasn't removed even after a few seconds , it made me feel uneasy that i almost blush just under her stare.i remained calm and turn my head to her with a raised eyebrow

"What?" I asked , she give me her gummy smile and that made my heart flutter

the smile that i've been missing for a days
